Great Hotel and LocationPosted Aug 14, 2014
The room was very nice with many luxurious features, especially the bathroom. The hotel staff was very helpful, welcoming and eager to offer any assistance if needed. Located close to 2 subway stops, restaurants, and the impressive CCTV building is withing a few blocks from the hotel. Would definitely stay here again if we return to Beijing.

Great hotel in great location and great facilitiesPosted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Excellent facilities, prompt, intelligent service, 'human' athmosphere for a big business hotel, good quality of food throughout including breakfast
Cons: Understanding of Chinese staff or foreign languages and guest mentality
Location: Good location also for the difficult traffic conditions in Beijing
A thoroughly enjoyable experience with very friendly, intelligent staff especially at reception, concierge and room services, who make one feel 'at home' even in a big business hotel in Beijing. Can only recommend it.

Nice hotel in downtown area, close to shoppingPosted Jul 25, 2014
Welcoming staff, not as fluent in English as I was assured prior to visit. Quick room service response. Attendant for pool bordered on annoying, insisting on showing me how to enter through locker rooms on a daily basis.

Expensive HotelPosted Jun 20, 2014
The worst check in experience - way too slow - took nearly 30 mins for 4 people! Drinks way too expensive. Room was good, but do not open the mini bar!

Best Crepes in Beijing, Worst WifiPosted May 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
Typical 5 star Beijing Hotel. Great food and restaurants. Wifi is the worst in China that I've experienced. I am a business traveller, so I need to stay connected. For the bad Wifi/internet reasons alone, I will not stay at Sofitel Beijing again - bad wifi/internet connection hurt my ability to do business.

Excellent hotel!Posted May 21, 2014
Cons: Internet speed is a little bit slow.
This hotel is well location, close to WalMart, 7-11, bus stops and metro subway. Rooms are clean and comfortable, it's also close to a high end shopping mall (5 mins walk). Recommend.

Beautiful hotel, but reception staff need trainingPosted May 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
Beautiful lobby, nice interier, perfect location in the middle of the modern part of Beijing, delicious food. But the concierge and reception desk react on Your demand very poorely if anyhow - we got on several demands only a promise without any realisation of it.

located in a convenient locationPosted May 11, 2014
This is one of the best hotels I have stayed. The best part of the hotel is the staff who are very helpful, especially for non Chinese speaking people, there are English speaking staff and overall the staff were very understanding and helpful. Next is the location, close to subway, lot of food joints close by, wal mart next door. The pool is great and the message parlor was very good. If I visit Beijing again, will surely stay in the hotel. Regards, Naveen Sydney, Australia.

Nice hotel but had a bad viewPosted May 8, 2014
Pros: Front staff Room comfort Bed was comfortable Location - close to all amenities Room size
Cons: Room view was not even acceptable - should not even have a room there.
Location: Lots of restaurants and shopping centres
The hotel was very nice and the staff very accommodating. The hotel is a little ways from the airport and can be very challenging as the traffic is really bad in this part of town. The metro station is at least a 15 minutes walk so taking the metro from airport is NOT a viable option. The hotel is well kept but the room I was given had a bad view - back of the hotel sign. This was not a big issue for me as I was out most of the day but this would not be pleasing for some who are traveling on leisure. The internet was good but sporadic - not unlike other hotels in China. The big PLUS is that this hotel is close to LOTS of shops and restaurants. There is even a Wal-mart across the street.
