Great location. Small enough to feel more welcoming. Room reasonable size. Aircond did not work so was brought a fan. Prefer fan anyway. Beds were hard but love a hard bed. Staff got everything that was asked straight away. Will definitely stay there if go back to Beijing.

“Very good location and good rooms”

The Sunworld is very well located, close to the Forbidden City (walking distance), to a subway station and also very close to a nice, but pricey, shopping area. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Beijing. The staff is helpful and they can help you book tours, if required.

“Great hotel which is centrally located”

This hotel is clean, comfortable (except for the beds which are hard, but that is standard in Asia)and very centrally located. You can walk to the square where you will find shopping, local & International food in addition to pubs. You are also within walking distance to the major attractions. If you don't want to walk, the hotel will call a cab for you and give you a card with a map and the cabs info on it in case you have a problem. The staff is great!

“Great value hotel, excellent location, expensive breakfast though.....”

Excellent location. It is a value hotel you would get an excellent service and nice room and lobby at a convenient price. It's a nice walk to the most important tourist areas of Beijing and you can book several tours there. Most of the front desk employees speak a fair English and are very helpful giving directions. You won't have any issue if you ask a taxi to return you to the hotel. Everyone knows the area. Breakfast was good but very expensive for China standards (around 20 dollars) my suggestion is either you buy in advance or go to another place for breakfast. Restaurant is very good too. Dont take the pekin opera show in the hotel... it's not a good one

“Great value for money”

I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. 25 min walk to t-square and forbidden city. 3 min walk to shopping district and good choice of restaurants around. Subway about 10 min walk away. Cost about 120RMB to get to airport. No complaints particularly at this price. Bed was a bit hard but most hotels in this price range anywhere in the world have hard beds.

“Nice hotel, great location, friendly staff”

Just around the corner from Wangfujing street - a main shopping and tourist area. One long block from the closest subway stop - a fairly new north-south route that stops at the Temple of Heavenly Peace East gate and the Hong Qiao (pearls and everything else market). Took my 15 minutes on a leisurely jog to get to Tian'an men Gate. I have stayed in Beijing about 15 times and this is a hotel that I will return to.

“Fantastic hotel with an excellent location!”

This hotel was a participant in the Beijing Olympics and it is a fantastic hotel to stay at as it is centrally located to many of the famous sites. In fact, you can even walk. The rooms are good but the beds are not very soft which is typical in the Asian Culture. The staff is very friendly but a little slow at checking in. I would recommend it.

“Clean, convenient hotel in Beijing”

Ah Beijing. Out of 8 or 9 cities I visited, it was my favorite in Mainland China. This hotel had pretty decent reviews, so I decided to give it a shot for a few days, and I was not let down. Convenient downtown location, a few blocks from the Dengshikou Metro (a walk which also takes you past a bakery with an espresso machine, great for a cheap breakfast!), and a block off of one of the main nighttime shopping drags. If you love being hassled for "Sir? Watch? Watch band? iPhone? 3g? 4g? wifi? USB stick? iPad?" etc etc then Wangfujing is your place. It's a pleasant 30 minute or so walk from the hotel to TianAnMen and Forbidden Palace. Anyway, safe location, clean, large rooms, can't comment to the service as I was eating out instead. There is another Sunworld hotel (Dynasty) at the corner of Wangfujing and Dengshikou, so make sure you go to the right one; this is a little further down Dengshikou almost across from the McDonalds.
