“Clean with great service”

A great base for seeing Beijing. The staff are really helpful, and a couple of them speak good English. They can help to book excursions. We used their services to visit the Great Wall and to see a brilliant Kung Fu show. Location is down a back street, but is within 10 minutes walking distance from the main shopping district, and 3-5 minutes walk to the subway and bus stop, making it really easy to get around. We had a twin room which was reasonably priced, very clean, with heater/air-con and had a hot shower (you appreciate that after travelling India for a month), and provide loo roll. The only drawback with the room is that the bed was a tad uncomfortable - but that didn't stop me sleeping very well. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Beijing.

“Value for money”

You will struggle to find a better located hotel for the same price in central Beijing. The room was en-suite, where other hotels we have stayed in previously for about the same amount have had shared facilities. Friendly, if business-like service. Rooms a little tatty, but clean. FANTASTIC LOCATION for shopping, airport bus and old Beijing exploring. Overall, real value for money!

“Super 8”

Room is as you would expect for the price you pay. Some of the staff are extremely rude. Excellent location - metro 5 minutes away, forbidden city walkable.

“lazy person's hide out”

If u want something cheap in Beijing then this could be the place but shop around first before you settle for this better places in and around the area for same money.Hard to get to as a foreigner as hotel is off main road and in the heart of the hutongs.

“Not so Super 8”

The bed was like a stone slab. The shower/ toilet/ sink, were all one room. Use the toilet before a shower or you will have to use your towel to dry everything off, and I mean everything!! For the price I could have gotten a better hotel. The staff was the best part. Very helpful, and spoke english. I think even they deserve to work in a better hotel. I have stayed at Super 8 all over the U.S. and never in my wildest dreams thought they would have a place like this with their name on it.

“forget this one, better hotels around this area!”

I stayed for 5 nights here, and I had a hard time with the Staff who said to speak English they hardly understood what we said. very cold service, not friendly or helpful at all, they even gave us wrong directions of where to catch a taxi for our trip to Shanghai and we missed our train. Rooms are extremely small and kinda disgusting, didn't look so clean, it was pretty cold as well as they don't use heaters. Location is pretty good, only thing to make it worth; it is in a small, kind of dark and stinky alley but close to the subway station (about 10 min walk) few fast food restaurants around, shops (nothing worth it).... They do not have internet except in the basement and it didn't work when I tried a few times. every time we tried to enter in our room, our card (key) was deactivated and need t to walk out to the front building to have someone to open for us, this was very annoying! I would not recommend this place unless you travel with a tight budget and want to be in somewhere close to te subway, during my stay I saw lots of other hotels that I review in Expedia and seem to be way better than this one. Give them a try.

“Not impressed”

I suppose a place suitable for a person with very simple expectations. The room I stayed in was clean but dark and unwelcoming as it was located on an underground floor. Not only was the bed very hard and uncomfortable but it was also difficult to relax because of the noise made by staff shouting instructions either in walkie-talkies or at each other at all times including late evening. The walls are quite thin so it feels like all guests share a common room and you can hear everything. The bar staff would benefit from thorough training as some of them were not at all familiar with drinks listed on their own menu. Reception staff are trying to be helpful and speak decent English but can sometimes be abrupt. There is a great advantage to this hotel though and it is its excellent location. It is right in the heart of Beijing with very easy access to most places of interest and public transport, which makes it even easier to get to any place in the city. It is inexpensive, especially for Beijing and for its central location and I suppose that's why one should not expect too much.

“don't stay here!”

this is not a hotel but a hostel and a poorly run one at that! i got there around12:30 and they took bout 20 min to just check me in and give me a key. then when i went to my room it still wasn't cleaned from the previous guest. i waited downstairs for about 30minutes to finally enter my room. the overall look of the hostel is not very clean, smells funny and the staff is not very helpful. at night the staff speaks very limited english and when i got there the first night i stepped on a cockroach in my room. i checked out the next morning, 3 nights early.
