Stay awayPosted Jul 1, 2009 on Hotels.com
First off, this hotel is in a perfect location being right next to Wanfujing. We booked because we thought we read good reviews somewhere but soon after checking in we knew it was a bad mistake. We were on the 10th floor and there must have been a leak because there were sheets spread all over the hallway floors. It had a very distinct smell of smoke in our non smoking room. The sheets seemed clean but that's about the only thing clean in the room. The bathroom was disgusting to say the least. The worst part about this hotel was when you'd get out of a cab, the doorman would be trying to sell you massages and sex. It was apparent that there was some sketchy prostitution ring ran through this place. Whatever you do, steer away from this hotel. Every other place I stayed on my month trip was great in Asia, except for this one. We checked out early and had to pay still but it was worth getting out.

Great location!Posted Oct 31, 2008 on Hotels.com
This hotel was located in a percect location, 1 block from a great shopping district and 10minute walk from the Forbidden City. Service was great. Everyone was very helpful. You can even book a tour to the Great Wall and other locations at this hotel.

Great locationPosted May 29, 2008 on Hotels.com
The best thing about this hotel is the location- it is within walking distance to the forbidden city so no taxi needed. The shopping at Waifujing street is also fun as well as the night food market (the oysters are great). Hotel was clean and I liked the Japanese food restaurant. I would stay here again. Check out and elevators are slow. One thing about Beijing-it is easy to get around in taxis but make sure you have the address written in Chinese as people do not speak English and beware of counterfeit money!!

Great DealPosted Mar 17, 2008 on Hotels.com
It was very comfortable anf very well located, clean too. All in all, a very pleasant surprise. The only drawback was an overpriced and somewhat impersonal breakfast.

Great location. Near lots of the things you want to see in Beijing. rooms are clean. Nice restaurants in the hotel, reasonably priced. business center is ok. no workout room. Good customer service. If you go to the Taiwan Hotel from the airport, dont hire a private driver. Take a taxi right outside the airport terminal. it is a quite a bit cheaper.

Would stay there again.Posted Sep 27, 2007
We were most pleased with the location which was within walking distance of other hotels, all shopping needs, restaurants, night life, the Bank of China and immediate taxi service. Tienaman Square is about a 15 minute walk. The breakfast buffet was reasonable and exceptionally good. The staff was most helpful and courteous.

good positionPosted Sep 9, 2007
the hotel it's ok, friendly staff, no problems with english for basic needs. One of the best attribute it's the location: really central respect to one of the more busy areas of town and not far from "forbiden city" the most important monument of the town.
