Very helpful staff and good value of money

Posted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: Very friendly staff, good breakfast and a nice location.
Cons: So far nothing.
Location: The hotel is not far from Al Hamra street and two minutes walking distance from the sea.
I was in Beirut for a special occasion, I did enjoy my stay in the Bella Riva Hotel, as it has a very friendly and helpful staff. They try to help you whenever you ask them. Very smily faces and always warm welcoming. Breakfast was good and I can not remember that I missed any thing there. Room was sclean and although it seemed to be old, but I also did not miss any thing inside the room and its equipment. There was a free of charges internet service, which helped me a lot during my stay.

Single adventurous people!

Pros: Price, convenience, and prompt help from front desk
Cons: The itsy-bitsy TV and the lack of hot water at sometimes.
Location: Not bad, convenient for getting around Beirut.
The hotel has a very low single room rate, has very much value for money. However it's the perfect comfortable room if you won't be spending half your day in it (you shouldn't, Beirut is fun!). The TV was 14" and hanging up high, I felt like I was in a hospital. The room was a smoking room, the view wasn't bad. Overall, It was pleasant.

Very disappointing, will never go again ..

Pros: location
Cons: staff, cleanliness, service, equipment, internet, pretty much everything
Location: not amazing at all but within walking distance from Raousha and Al-Hamra Street. ALmost on lakeshore highway so easy for taxis to avoid city crowd.
The only half decent thing about the place is its location. They made me wait in the lobby for 20 minutes to check me in. I asked for internet access and he gave me 2 hour access for $11 !! In my room, I found out that the internet did not work even though the wireless router is right outside my door. Their security codes did not work and they kept making excuses and pretending to "restart" the system. They kept telling me to try again and again until I got fed up and went down and complained. The guy promised to deduct the $11 from my bill. However, on checkout day there was a different person and they said they have no proof that I purchased the internet access. The hotel ignored my room service requests twice. The shower curtains had some old blood stains !! and the water mixer was broken so you get scalding hot or ice cold. I was supposed to meet up with my girlfriend and \i could not call her local lebanese number from the hotel room so I asked the receptionist to call her number and transfer her to me, which he did. When I met her at the lobby he must have liked her looks cuz after I left Lebanon she called me and complained that he has been texting her and asking her out !! I called the hotel management but they kept telling me I have no proof, even though I called the cell number that was flirting with her and the guy admitted and said he was sorry. I complained to the ministry of tourism but still no response. never, ever again.
