Our stay was very good overall. The hotel's public areas (gym, pool, restaurants and night club) were excellent in terms of decor and facilities. Beautiful contemporary art decorated ever nook and corner of the hotel. We were looking for hip and that is what we got. The lobby/reception was small. Yasmina at the Concierge Desk was outstanding - extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The rooms were not 5* standard. While large in size, the furnishing was sparse and appeared worn. There was only one comfortable sofa chair in the room, so when in the room, one of us was always sitting on the bed. Tiny bedside tables and tiny drawers made it difficult to find place for our belongings. The layout of the closets was such that some of the hanging and drawer space was inaccessible. The coffee making area was poorly lit, and replenishing of tea bags & sugar were often overlooked by housekeeping. The electric curtains got stuck every time we drew them or opened them. One of the bedside touch reading lights did not work. The bathroom was well-appointed with separate shower, tub, toilet area and double sink. However complimentary vanity items were not replaced daily. Housekeeping did an excellent job of cleaning and tidying the room, but attention to detail was lacking in that items used were not replaced. Room service was slow and erratic. One day an order of milk was a cup full, and the next day it was a pitcher full. The staff were extremely friendly and acccomodating overall.
