Stayed here 3 years ago and it was very good. Now it looks tired; the rooms could be cleaner and the hot water was iffy. I know this is an expensive area but it was quite steep. I expect more from Kimpton.

Los Angeles can be brutal. Traffic sucks, and all the places you want to visit are 15 miles apart. But none of that matters if you stay here. It is a simple, quiet oasis. If you want action, don't stay here. If you want a clean room, free parking, and a hot cup of coffee and a Danish in the morning then I suggest you reserve a room.

Although the hotel is located in a somewhat isolated neighborhood, it is a welcomed break from the honking traffic that plagues LA. We always looked forward to going back to the hotel after a day of activities. The room was small, but well designed. The bed was super comfortable. The bathroom door doesn't provide much privacy, so be sure to stay with someone you're close to. The food at the restaurant was delicious. The lounge was fun and there always seemed to be some action happening at night.

The only reason I selected this facility was that it was close to UCLA and had a continental breakfast. But it was next to the freeway and this was both good and bad. The daily rate is high compare with other similar hotel for what you get in term of the facility and the area of this facility location.
