“A Quiet Find in A Beautiful Old House”
This is a great experience from check in to check out. We stayed in the triple ensuite room on the third floor. The room was clean and quiet. Bri, the hostess of the Guest house, is hospitable and knoweledgeable about Belfast. She was ever-ready to answer questions and made sure that our stay was a good one. The traditional Irish breakfast was incredible. I would stay here again if vacationing/holidaying in Belfast, and I would recommend it to others.
“Characterful and charming and superb value”
I stayed at the Bienvenue for 1 night in June 2011. Bre was a wonderful host. The mattress on the bed was a little bit too soft for me but the room was big, clean and otherwise very comfortable. The rest of the house is charming and very well looked after. This is an excellent place to to stay if you need to be near the Lyric theatre or Queens University. Breakfast was also lovely. The traditional fry was accompanied with toast and cereal. For the price paid this was extremely good value.
“A lovely little find...”
Ended up staying here through chance rather than planning, but what a lovely place. Bree is so friendly and helpful that I would certainly choose to return there on my next visit. The surrounding area was lovely and felt very safe.
“Excellent accommodations”
Guesthouse is beautiful and the hostess, Brie, is extremely helpful and kind. She answered all my questions enthusiastically, offered sage advice, and assisted me in all my transportation needs. Breakfast was bountiful with yoghurts, cereals, fruit, juices, toast, and the usual fry-up. I especially enjoyed sitting and talking around the breakfast table with the other guests. My room was very comfortable and clean with lovely views of the tree lined street, and the location is perfect for anyone visiting the Lyric Theatre--an 8-10 minute walk. I will definitely stay here again when I visit Belfast.
“A wonderful Oasis near Queens University with shops and restaurants in walking distance.”
Outstanding and the hostess, Brie, was wonderful!
“Beautiful place, terrible bed”
This is a beautiful, well-maintained guest house in a nice older neighborhood. Within walking distance of gardens and restaurants. Our room had lovely furniture and high ceilings and a view of trees in the nicely landscaped front yard. My only complaint was the bed. It was backache-producingly bad - old and broken down. I wouldn't go there again if I had to sleep on that bed.
“One Night”
Very clean / Excellent service - Bed not that great
“worsrt place we have stayed at on our 6 week tour”
Not a surprise that the B & B is going to close with the owners selling the house. Place is run by an eccentric lady, who by comparison with other B & B's we have stayed in, has no clue on how to run it. Place lacks maintenance, with curtains not closing, jammed in tracks, shower door would not shut so kept opening whilst trying to shower, door was not even the correct one for the shower had obviously been adapted to try and make it fit. Not a pleasant experience at all.
“Seattle Traveler”
It's a cool old house in a nice residential area of Belfast, but I had to stand outside for 5 minutes waiting to be let in at 6pm because the innkeeper was taking a bath, another guest finally let me in... The room/bathroom were alright, but the mattress was probably of a 1970s vintage, hands-down the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on. I've traveled in east Africa and never had such a shabby stay as this. The food was blah. 'Nuff said.
