Terrible breakfast

Posted Jul 22, 2015
Checked-in just after 21:30. Asked if I could use sauna. Told last entrance at 21:30. I was at least three minutes late, so no sauna. Looking forward to breakfast. Coffee not too good, toaster barely gave warmth to toast, scrambled egg hard around edges, potato scones ( I think they were anyway) were solid, muesli was like eating sugar it was so sweet. Booked this hotel as Expedia advertised an uplift from the airport, when I phoned for this service, I was told they hadn't provided an uplift for some time. Had to hire a car which was an expense I could have done without. Staff were pleasant enough but I wouldn't return

Lovely hotel

Posted Jul 17, 2015
Receptionist was very helpful and upgraded up to the honeymoon suite as we just got of a plane from our honeymoon and our sister was one of the Virgin Atlantic crew that was staying in the hotel as well. The bar staff where friendly and helpful and a perfect way to finish off our honeymoon.

Nice Golf Resort

Posted Jul 8, 2015
Cons: There was no shuttle available to the airport.
Location: The only thing close to this location is the airport. I took the location bus (20 minutes) to see Belfast.
If you play golf, this is a nice resort. I don't, but I enjoyed the pool and the restaurant food was yummy!

brilliant staff made the stay worthwhile

Posted Jul 6, 2015
Pros: leisure facilities are good and food is excellent at breakfast and dinner. recommend sea food chowder
Cons: Wi-Fi is none existent , even in lobby. some reception if you sit in your car at the bottom corner of the car park, more vegetarian options on dinner
Location: loacation is perfect for relaxing break away from it all, short journey into city centre, took us about 15 minutes to get in to see tall ships, worth
booked deluxe twin for two nights, discovered we were very close to brasserie/bar , which was ideal until every time we tried to go it was never open- all weekend !!!!! prices in bar is expensive, but staff in restaurant on the Saturday night went above and beyond their duties to make us feel welcome, especially Andrew at the desk. we all had a good weekend and would go back again for sure.

Beautiful

Beautiful hotel located in Templepatrick not far from the Giant Causeway. Rooms were beautiful and spacious. We enjoyed a meal outside near the golf course. The food was very good also.

One night break with three kids

Posted May 27, 2015
Family room was great, spa and gym fantastic. Took reception 10 mins to check our room was available. Didn't eat as a bit pricey for family of five with kids that wouldn't eat much.

Short Break

Posted May 14, 2015
Pros: Situation fairly central for touring. Room size and quality of fittings. Spacious foyer and grounds with safe free parking. Friendly staff.
Cons: Breakfast was below Hilton standards. Any 'free' wine needs to be drinkable. I do not expect vintage, just pleasant to taste. Wifi is very expensive.
Location: Countryside all round. Golf and spa/gym on site. All Northern Irish tourist sites within 1 hour's drive. Titanic Belfast recommended.
Hotel situation excellent, 20 minutes to Central Belfast by motorway, North Coast 40 minutes. Room views over the golf course - very restful. Staff very friendly and helpful. Ample free parking. Room was a good size, well presented and maintained. Problem getting facecloths every day. Shower gel utterly useless - used our own. Free red & white wines in our room on Day one were undrinkable, not a useful freeby. Breakfast was uninspiring, the usual average hot and cold offerings - but porridge was cold and scrambled egg disgusting on several days. Freshly cooked eggs were available to order and good. Had dinner one night only- good Hilton standard. No local food alternatives, Belfast or Ballymena nearest choices. Didn't try the spa or golf course.

Dear BJ Thank you for leaving us your detailed feedback using this site. I am pleased that you enjoyed many aspects of your time with us including the location, complimentary parking, large spacious bedroom, dinner and our friendly staff. I am disappointed though, that some of the ‘basics’ were not as expected. This is certainly not the standard of service we aim to provide at Hilton Templepatrick and I will, of course, appropriately investigate and address your comments regarding the wine we provided in your room, as well as, the shower gel provided and the quality of breakfast served during your stay. Thank you for bringing these matters to my attention and we all look forward to welcoming you back to the hospitality of Hilton Templepatrick very soon. Warm regards Paula Collins Hotel Manager

Nice hotel with its own golf course

Posted May 7, 2015
Pros: Setting, staff and food
Cons: Bar prices
Location: Golf
Stayed for two nights for a friends wedding and the hotel which we have stayed at before is in a lovely setting and is very clean. The meal at the function was excellent. The bar prices are very, very expensive and stock is limited to a few choices. That apart, it is a very nice hotel with very friendly staff.
