Fabulous stay and great service.Posted Mar 30, 2015
Cons: Very little.
Location: Stormont Estate and the city hopper buses nearby to take a guided tour of Belfast. Lots to do within easy reach.
We felt like we were important from arrival until departure. The staff were very friendly and helpful, our room was way above our expectations.....superb! I would certainly go there again, and would recommend a stay there to anyone.

A nice hotel and it was near where we had to workPosted Mar 28, 2015
Pros: rooms very nice and plenty of parking
Cons: The restaurant staff not very friendly and when we were asked if everything was OK and we replied NO we got absolutely no respond and we left
Location: Just across the road the Irish Parliament and a lovely park to walk in
The restaurant we did not enjoy and it is letting down this comfortable hotel I am sorry to say. Best regards Dr S Jokumsen

More of a business hotelPosted Mar 28, 2015
Stayed one night. Disappointingly, there were no robes, no glasses (only 2 Belleek mugs), & no hair conditioner. You would expect these items in a 4**** hotel. Telephoned reception for 2 wine glasses. After over 5 mins of ringing, & still no response, walked to reception. On a busy Saturday, there was only one receptionist dealing with 5 customers. Eventually got glasses and was advised that they only put water glasses into rooms on request. More of a business hotel, it lacks the personal touch. Buffet breakfast, it was delicious, fried & poached eggs cooked to request - eggsellent! Loved the Hastings rubber duck.

Isolated locationPosted Jan 20, 2015
Pros: Main restaurant
Cons: Staff, and prices in Breakfast restaurant. Water temperature in some rooms.
Location: Isolated except for politicians attending Parliament. Walks in government grounds.
This is a modern hotel with an excellent restaurant and pleasant bar. The staff appear helpful and perform well when you are present, however promises of subseqent follow-up Do Not materialise. Cold showers were only avoided after three days of promises to solve, by insisting on moving room. Breakfasts are expensive as there are no alternatives within reasonable walking distance.

Nice hotel, confusing food.Posted Jan 5, 2015
Pros: The room.
Location: Quick taxi ride to the airport, nothing of substance within walking distance.
I stayed at the Stormont for two nights the week before Christmas on business. It is situated a little outside Belfast city center but this was perfect for where I was working (close to the airport). I found the staff pleasant and helpful, but not plentiful (especially in the restaurant), although to be fair the hotel didn't seem very busy. My room was clean, a good size and the bed very comfortable. It looked out over the main approach to the hotel but noise wasn't an issue. In fact the only issue I did have was with the food. The hotel makes a big play on the quality of it's locally sourced produce (and charges accordingly), but unfortunately they don't seem to employ anyone that knows how to cook it properly. On my first night I had a burger with beef that was made to sound like an M&S advert yet it was cooked to destruction and then seemingly cooked again "just in case". The same issue cropped up the following evening when I ordered a steak sandwich where yet again the only option available appears to be "cremated". The hotel may well have secured the finest Irish Beef, in season, from a local farmer called Paul who only feeds his cows the finest Irish grass, grown from earth that is....etc. etc. But what you get on your plate is a real let down. The breakfast meanwhile is offensive for the price! Powdered scrambled egg for £16 anyone? In summary, potentially a decent hotel let down by the quality of the cuisine.

High security at the hotel for a couple of days due to a ministerial visit. However, all were very pleasant.

Nice but lacked atmospherePosted Dec 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
Lacked atmosphere, hotel was perfectly fine, clean etc but was very out of the way. Couldn't get a taxi into Belfast as they informed us it was too far out of Belfast. Disappointed although hotel was perfect
