Cons: Window would not shut
Good enough to stay for the average person. Staff let me check in 30 mins early too.

I was in sixth floor. No view just the Fire escape and roof but didn't one luckily. Noisy like a furnace noise or maybe power generator so couldn't open window for some fresh air as room was very warm. Shower curtIan had clump of hair on it. Overall very basic but credo enough for a city centre hotel but look elsewhere first and possibly pay a bit extra

City Hotel with all the perks

Posted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: Location is key to its success. Top class facilities and friendly staff.
Cons: They could provide mini samples of shampoo and shower gel.
Location: In the heart of the city. Bus tours, buildings, market, Titanic Museum, Giant's Causeway
The perfect hotel for a mini-break in Belfast. It's right in the heart of the city, within walking distance of all the main attractions and a stone's throw from the Europa Bus Station and a dozen pubs. The ideal location! It's a newly-built hotel so everything is in excellent condition. Rooms are a good size and contain all the basic essentials. Beds are new and extremely comfortable. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Nothing is too much trouble. There's an on-site restaurant, which was much more expensive than other local eateries. Inexpensive, quality meals can be found within a short walk in any direction, so there's always a choice. Belfast is a city recovering from troubled times. The tourist industry is helping their recovery. Many new hotels have opened in the last five years, but you'd go a long way to better the Travelodge.

Minimalist hotel

Posted Aug 11, 2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel was very basic and barebones. It was extremely loud due to its proximity to the street, major construction and a popular bar. Staff was helpful. No nearby parking but they do have a reasonable agreement with a garage several blocks away. Lots of restaurants close by. Ulster museum, botanic gardens and Queens University are within walking distance.

Ideal for a short stay

Posted Aug 10, 2014 on Hotels.com
Staff very welcoming and polite. Room is what you would expect from a Travelodge, basic but clean. Location was very central, ideal for walking tours of the centre. Walking distance to bus station. The Crown Pub sells the best Guinness in Belfast, a must! I would use this hotel again for short stays. Priced well for such a central location.

Needs uplift!

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: Central location
Cons: Needs an update on all levels. It's tired and worn out.
Dingy, fusty and in serious need of a refurbishment. Bathroom tiles were mouldy, no hairdryer in room and there is no hair or body wash as described in the facilities - it's a cheap bar of soap! Wouldn't recommend this Travelodge and will avoid in the future. If you can afford the Premier Inn on Alfred Street go there - It's well worth the extra!

Comfy, clean bed. Not sure when the floor was last vacuumed though.

Disappointing

Posted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: Room was clean. Staff were fairly helpful.
Cons: Needs a wake up system - see above!
Location: Close to pubs, restaurants and right by city hall. Close to City Airport.
For the price, I found this hotel to be rather sad. Big bags of laundry were by the elevator on my floor. The motion sensor lights made the halls dark to go down. The room had bare necessities only. There is NO WAKE UP CALL service, NO CLOCK RADIO in the room, and NO ALARM CLOCK TO BORROW! This was disconcerting as I had a very early flight to catch and it was too late for an open hardware store. Fortunately the night desk clerk kindly made an exception and phoned me. I was so anxious that she might forget, that I hardly slept anyway. The free wifi is only in the lobby.
