“Very Convenient. Good Value.”

We recently spent 5 nights at the Hotel Melba. The location was within walking distance to the town square for meals and shopping, yet far enough away to be quiet and relaxing. The complementary breakfast was a great value. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and spoke excellent english. We would stay there again.

“Very nice hotel”

Hotel is in a very convenient location just a short walk to McAuliffe Square. The room was very clean and modern. There is no air conditioning but there was a rotating fan in my room which did the trick!

“A nice place to catch up”

My son and I found the hotel to be very nice. The owner speaks very good English and helpful at pointing out places to go visit. We ate dinner in the restaurant and it was also very good. Close walking distance to downtown and a hike to the memorial is about 1.5 miles.

“Great place to stay in Bastogne”

The Melba was very nice. Two blocks from the downtown square where all the restaurants are. Breakfast was adequate. Rooms are fine. Free internet. Not much parking but we didn't have any trouble. Restaurant isn't open every night but there are great places on the square.

Area recommendations
Walk the town. Go to the museum. The Band of Brothers monument is just that, a monument on a one lane country road, not really worth the trouble. Really not much to see regarding the Battle of the Bulge outside of the museum and the tank in the town square. But the town itself is wonderful with good reasonable food and great Belgian beer, each in its own distinct glass.

“Great stay!”

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is within easy walking distance of downtown Bastogne, and therefore, very near restaurants and shops. Parking was free and breakfast was provided. The location is about ten minutes from the Bastogne historical center and about a half hour from Luxembourg. The staff was friendly and speaks good English. I’ll definitely come back again if ever back in Bastogne.
