Prime Location, Good Facilities & Great BreakfastPosted Aug 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
We stayed for one night during the Medieval Festival in Bouillon. The hotel is in the best position right on the river in the centre of the town. The hotel does have an underground car park at €12 / night but there is usually somewhere to park on the street close by. Room was totally fine, spacious and well equipped. We had a street view which wasn't particularly beautiful, but I imagine that there are rooms with a river view. Room tariff was reasonable for a big festival weekend and the breakfast was first class with good quality cooked and dried meats, cheeses, pates, cereals, a variety of breads and pastries as well as fresh fruit and juices. All you can eat for €12 and it is worth it. Staff helpful, with a few English speakers. Nice bar, with excellent gourmet coffee and a decent if pricey whisky menu. Summary Not the cheapest but still very good value and in a great position.

Great stay, overlooking the river and fort/castlePosted Apr 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
OK, the good: * great view out the window * excellent service * nearby convenient parking * excellent restaurant - we had a fantastic meal here, a fine choice for dinner * rustic. The bad: rustic? really rustic. Think: really nice "distressed" wood floors, but really kind of left unfinished for too many years and so creaky you can't take a step without waking your roommate. Think: paint peeling on the bathroom door. Think: radiant heat that's noisy but works really, really well. Think: the beds are tired, but so are you, so that works. I'd give this hotel a much stronger review if it were ranked a 2.5 star hotel. As a 4-star, it's level is way, way overstated. This is just not a 4-star hotel. It's a cozy, very quaint, nice place that has a great restaurant, great staff, and desperately needs a remodel.

Tight and historicPosted Sep 27, 2012
Cons: Service and billing.
Location: Phenomenal. Hotel and town.
Hotel charged me to stay even though I had already paid via Expedia -- and then charged me considerably more that the agreed upon rate -- so AMEX and I will fix that. Charged separately for the 'free breakfast' (which was GREAT by the way). Location was first rate, right on the central point of the town square, but no one speaks English so calls from outside are 'rejected' by switchboard. Room is size of broom closet, but that is somewhat to be expected in an historic hotel in this kind of quaint town, computer table is too small to really accommodate a laptop (but if you lift the room safe off the desk -- things work better -- but how much good is a safe that fits in a suitcase and weighs about 5 pounds?). If you are looking for a place to lay your head -- and spend as much time as possible out in the wonderful town of Bouillon -- acceptable, but got to believe other options are better.

We booked this hotel for our 30th anniversary It was a hotel my wife has always wanted to stay but found it very disappointing .We arrived with the impression there was free parking but were told that was no longer available and that we could pay 12 euros to park or find your own parking the room had no tea or coffee facilities which you come to expect these days. The staff were very unwelcoming and you felt you were disturbing them ,we have stayed in many hotels over the years and never felt the need to write a bad review but we were so disappointed as it was meant to be a special trip what a let down.

Nice hotel in a nice village with great biking roads.Only problem was with Payment logistics, every time I use Hotel dotr com I pay online, here I thought I had done the same, left the hotel in the morning leaving my key on the front desk. They came out looking for me... Starge that Hotel dot come don't have a system...Hotel was fine.

Probably best in Bouillon but not that it means that muchPosted Aug 5, 2009
Well located on River bank with easy access to Town Car Parking available in large hotel garage but otherwise a bit of a lottery Some Staff somewhat overbearing Pleasant Restaurant but menu very very poor basic and limited and much overpriced but not much alternative in Town would only recommend this as nothing better in Bouillon If staying get river view ( only a few bob more) as street side a bit noisy
