“Relaxing and friendly”
My wife and I stayed for only 2 days but received royal treatment. Mariann brought us our free drinks on our arrival and was very friendly and helpful showing us our room. Very laid back and relaxing. ESP the pool bar. Roads outside resort are in horrible condition for golf cart travel however. Overall I'd def come back here to visit.
From the minute you arrive at Belizean Shores and Marianne greets you with a refreshing rum punch to the minute you leave and she hugs you goodbye, the people at Belizean Shores will take wonderful care of you and you never want to leave. The hotel is about a 15-20 minute golf cart ride away from the hustle and bustle of the town of San Pedro, very quiet and relaxing. Awesome pool and pool bar! The rooms are spacious condos with fully stocked kitchens.
“Belizean Shores - An Awesome Place to Stay”
The staff, Marianne, Rhoday and Levi, at the Belizean Shores Resort was gracious and friendly, Transportation is provided to and from the resort. The rooms are spacious and very clean and the bed SO comfortable. There is a kitchen which has a regular size fridge, so you can always order groceries. Or you can eat at the resort's restaurant which is very good or rent a golf cart from the resort and drive to San Pedro nd eat at Estelle's, which has yummy white Sangria! (On the way to town, you can buy jewelry from Abby.) Or eat at Palapas, which is a restaurant over the water where you float in an inner tube underneath the restaurant and they lower your food down to you in a bucket! And I would highly recommend the zip lining and cave tubing tours provided by the tour group located at the resort. The trip is pricey but it is a once in a life time experience. William, our guide was very informative and entertaining. And our guides for the zip lining, Vicortor and Roberto, reassured us andmade the whole experience go seamlessly! And for snorkeling, the caye is right next to the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world! Belizean Shores has complementary kayaks to paddle the short distance out to the reef. Caye Caulker, you can swim at Shark Ray Alley with the sand sharks and sting rays. That experience was awesome! Belize is a beautiful country and it has beautiful people, so please go and visit!
“Awesome Hotel for Everyone.-- Young and Old!!!!!”
My husband and I booked a spur of the moment visit to Belize January 14, 2013 and booked into Belizean Shores by chance. We were so impressed with the sevice and friendliness of the staff that we actually extended our stay because we didn't want to leave. From the moment we arrived and were greeted with a RumPunch by Marianne, until we regretfully had our bags loaded onto the complimentary boat tranfer back to the airport for departure, we were spoiled in all possible ways. The dive staff at TuffEnough-- Billy and AC, in particular were awesome. Diving was great! Our accomadations were very comfortatble, clean and stocked with all the necessities anyone could need. The grounds were so groomed and clean you hated to walk on the sand in the morning and mess up the patterns made by the rake. The resturant and bar, both at the pool and upstairs above the office were also good and great value. although you could book a less expensive hotel in town, I think it would be hardf to beat the value of the sevice and friendliness we received at The Belizean Shores. Igive it a true 5 star rating. Can't wait to go back!!!!
“Our San Pedro Belizean Trip.”
Belizean Shores Resort is a very nice resort in San Pedro. My husband and I were really enjoyed our 3 nights stays in that resort. Lovely surroundings , great beach and pool. The water taxi transportation is really handy to go and from San Pedro. Our trip expenses in this trip was really good. We cook our own food and we only go out to eat at night. I highly recommend this resort and rated as 4 star because my husband and I are planning to go back next year with our kids and grand children.
“Terrific Belizean experience.”
The room was easily the size of a condo unit. It had a kitchenette fully stocked with utensils, cookwear, and glasswear. A large bedroom with a pillowtop mattress. Dining area. Living area with flat screen TV and free WiFi. A large patio with another seating area and plenty of hooks to hang your wet items. The hotel is situated about 4 miles north of San Pedro. You will need to take a water taxi for about a 10 minute ride. The hotel restaurant is located on the third floor with 360 views of the island. The food was delicious but the service was lacking. We found that sitting at the bar greatly improved the service.. There are about 5-6 restaurants within a short walking distance of the resort. Capt. Morgan's and Capricorn for dinner were the closest to what you can expect at an American restaurant experience in that they have prompt service and friendly waitstaff. The others are on "Belize Time" and service is spotty. I can not say enough good things about the Tuff n' Enuff excursion tour people located on the dock of Belizean Shores. We took two all day tours, one mainland based featuring jungle zip lining, cave tubing, and a Mayan site tour. The second a water based excursion featuring snorkeling at Hol Chan with a wonderful views of many aquatic wildlife, and Shark Ray alley where you can pet nurse sharks! Caution: local tap water is non-potable so local beachside food items may cause distress!
“Great Hotel In Belize”
Very nice hotel and pleasant staff. Great location and pool. Easy to make arrangements for day tours right off the hotel pier.
“Beautiful place to stay”
Very friendly staff and beautiful surroundings! Very nice 2 story villa with a great balcony. Beautiful pool and all the ammenities are right out your door. Very peaceful and relaxing! Town is about 3 miles away, but a truly fun adventure getting there in your golf cart. It was one of those "No Worries" vacation because everything was done for you. Very knowledgable crew at Tuff E Nuff that knew where the fish were. Thanks Ricco, David, Afri and Orlando!!...Enjoyed our family vacation very much.....don't think we could have picked a better place to stay!
“Awesome hotel for families.”
This hotel is older, but very well maintained. The staff does an excellent job of keeping the rooms and surrounding areas clean and tidy. They were very friendly and accomodating. My daughter got sun burned really bad one day and the concierge got the gardner to cut some aloe plant pieces for her. This really helped. We would definitely go back here. There were plenty of things for our two teenagers to do.
We love love loved this hotel!!!! This is possibly the best vacation we ever took. Not over the top "luxurious" but very nice (shower was tricky but great otherwise). Location wise it's a little removed from downtown & we thought that was going to be a bummer but not so. We really liked that we were a little far out of town. Belizean Shores has GREAT food & the best swim up bar we saw. We loved the staff, they were so caring and genuine. The front desk wasn't available 100% of the time but not a huge deal. We would definitely recommend it.
