Great ocean, close to snorkeling off the reef.

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: location was excellent with great ocean access.
Cons: The resteraunt needs a set menu and needs to be open every day. Consistensy would go a long way. Even if it was made into a burger, fries and pizza
Location: Ocean dives, kayak, snorkeling, fishing and more. Offsite tours of runes, horseback riding and cave tube rides available from location transportation
Close to the ocean. Great access to reef diving, snorkeling, fishing and general activities. The staff was excellent in all regards from bartenders, maids and general grounds keepers. The site was very clean although it is getting a little dated. This is part of a larger resort company Sandy Point in which you could also use there amenities which are very nice. This places onsite food was inconsistent as they were sometimes open and often not serving a big menu. That was overcome by the ability to walk 5-10 min down the beach to another place to eat. This was a quiet resort and good for relaxation.

Birthday trip to Belize

Posted Feb 18, 2015
Pros: The amazing staff!
Location: The road is now paved to San Pedro so going by golf cart is so much easier now.
Had a great stay at the Belizean Shores! The staff are wonderful and make the stay so enjoyable they treat you like extended family. We did have issues with the wifi but went to the front desk and they gave us a device that strengthened the signal. When we were there the restaurant was closed for renovations but went to their sister resort at Cocoa Beach for some meals. The day before we came home it reopened which was great. Thank you to the staff at Belizean Shores for making our stay so enjoyable. We will be back as the country is beautiful and the Belizean's treat you like family.

We were close to the beach but it was dirty and unkept. Food was very expensive. This was the first time I went on vacation and cooked and washed dishes. I bought a diet coke at the bar and was charged $2.50 one day and the next day was charged $3.00.

Great Villas with scenic views of beach

Posted Feb 5, 2015
Pros: Everything! The service stands out most - everyone was happy, and helpful! I felt like I was home!
Cons: Water pressure in the showers! Although as I think about it - it probably is fine if you are suffered from sunburn.
Location: Breakfast at Coco Cafe next door or breakfast at Capricorn about 15 min walk on the beach. Kayak on your beach front
This was our first trip to Belize. The hotel was selected by the bride and groom for their destination wedding. We love the individual villas. We were in Building #7 which we loved! It looked straight out at the pool and just beyond the pool was a fabulous view of the beach. Having coffee every morning on the porch was amazing - we thought that view was made up for magazines! But it truly exists! The property is very well maintained. The beaches are clean, the walk ways are raked and cleaned at least 3 times a day if not more. The staff is friendly, they will try their best to accommodate on their every request. The staff on the doc at TuffNuff are also awesome with their water taxi service and other beach excursions.

Relaxing Belizean Style!

Posted Feb 3, 2015
Pros: Only a 10 minute water taxi to San Pedro or a 1/2 hr bike ride to town. Having the Tuff E Nuff tours right on our dock. And the resort staff!!!!
Cons: Their dining room was being renovated so limited eating options however Manuel and his staff prepared great lunches and dinners on the beach each day!
Location: Through Tuff E Nuff, we booked tours to Lamania Maya Ruins, catamaran tours for snorkeling and fishing, water taxi day trip to Caye Caulker.
We were extremely pleased with our recent stay at the Belizean Shores Resort on Ambergris Caye, Belize. We needed to de-stress and thaw out from a cold Canadian winter. This was a perfect place to do this! Right from the moment that we were met at the airport in San Pedro to the time we left, we felt that the staff at the resort put their guests first. As soon as we arrived on the resort dock, we were met by a hostess with rum punch for us and then we were escorted through beautiful grounds to our 1 bedroom villa located close to the pool. The setting was beautiful and our villa was spacious, comfortable and clean. Loved the hammocks on the beach and the dock! Great fun renting bikes from the resort and biking along the beach into San Pedro. The beach and ocean experience are different because of the barrier reef being so close to shore. If you are looking for sandy beaches to build sand castles or hoping to play in big surf waves, you won't find this anywhere on Ambergris Caye. While the ocean waters are very calm and great for kayaking, on shore there is lots of sea grass so you need to swim off the dock to avoid this. At our resort we had very attentive staff - big kudos to Emir who looked after our beverage needs poolside on a daily basis. We were sad to leave. We came back home to snow.

Beautiful, comfortable, clean.

Posted Feb 2, 2015
Pros: The staff, the peace and quiet, the privacy. Gorgeous views.
Cons: They are currently adding a few more buildings, so there was a lot of construction noise (only during reg. biz hrs).
Location: They have there own tour company for all sorts of outings located at the end of their own dock, and will match the price of any private co. in town
The staff went above and beyond. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the grounds were equally clean and well maintained. There is a nearby store that will deliver groceries for free, but you can also rent golf carts or bikes. I was just married there and the staff was incredibly helpful and we had a wonderful time. It's a great place for families to vacation: it's very quiet, feels safe, and the "hotel" is actually 6 or 7 bungalows (four-plexes) with their own bathrooms, kitchens and porches. I would definitely go back.

Quiet fun

Posted Feb 1, 2015
We stayed here for about a week after an inland journey. The house keeping staff are amazing each day when we arrived home we were pleasantly surprised. We were a bit rowdy for this place but no one complained. The only bad thing was the restaurant was under construction when we were there so it was a bit inconvenient. The tuff e nuff guys are a blast make sure to chat with them at the dock. I would come again and buy a poss for the water taxi unless you intend to stay romantically secluded.

Staff was great. No restaurant due to renovations. Hot tub was broken. We were able to go next door to a much nicer resort because it was a sister property which was nice. Rooms were nice. Well kept. Pretty far from town.
