This hotel has it all!Posted Jul 9, 2015
Pros: Front Office, Food and Beverage and Housekeeping were all exceptional. Loved that they had a special on the golf carts, great way to see the island!
Cons: Décor in the rooms is a little basic, but furnishings, kitchen facilities and air conditioning all met expectations.
Location: Enjoyed touring the island on foot and on a golf cart. Lots of great restaurants and bars all over the island. Loved the pools and easy beach access.
Really loved this property and the staff were very accommodating. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The restaurant/bar was lively with a friendly staff and great food and drinks. We stayed in a One Bedroom Suite which had everything we needed.

Wonderful accommodations at an affordable price!Posted Apr 11, 2015
Pros: Great hotel staff, good food and a very friendly environment.
Cons: The rooms are white with wooden paneling. I would just add colorful, regional art to give them a pop of color and local culture.
Location: The hotel is close to the downtown area, near all of the shops, airport and restaurants. I walked or road a bike that they allowed me to use.
I went to Ambergris Caye, San Pedro for my birthday and stayed at the Caribbean Villas Hotel. Before traveling to Belize, I sent an email to Paul, the hotel manager. I mentioned that it was going to be my birthday, that I would be traveling alone and that I wanted a room near or on the sand and with an oceanview. He did more than accommodate me by giving me the first room facing the beach and on the ground level. The rooms were kept clean on a daily basis. The staff of the hotel was very friendly. From the management to the wait staff, everyone was professional and very kind. Although I traveled alone, I didn't feel alone there. On my birthday, they surprised me by filling my room with flowers and then giving a bottle of wine. (A very thoughtful gesture) The food at the restaurant was really good and fairly priced. I bought all of my tours through the hotel. Normally, the hotels don't offer competitive pricing, but the cost for the tours were actually less expensive through the hotel. The other benefit of buying the tours through the hotel is that it was safe aside from being very convenient.

Spacious-Clean-Beautiful-Great Stay at a Great ValPosted Apr 5, 2015 on Hotels
We took an early boat from Caye Caulker to San Pedro and Carribean Villas was super accommodating, letting us check in before 12pm even though the room was not quite ready yet. The villa (for 5) was spacious, a huge king size bed, 2 twins on the 2nd floor, and a pull out under the couch. Only one bathroom, but it was a very decent size and we also had a full kitchen, dining area, and a balcony with a nice view to the pool and ocean. Even though we told her it wasn’t necessary to come clean everyday, Maria, our housekeepter, was super nice and still did this for us and even made us lovely little animals out of our towels and provided fresh flowers (although the flowers totally attracted a million ants fyi). The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful. We had a fabulous stay at Carribean Villas and would def recommend it. Thank you! *Free wifi *Complimentary shuttle/vehicle from the port to the hotel (the hotel comp’s whomever [the company’s, usually its just guys] you ask to take you to the hotel) *Golf carts available at an hourly, multi-hourly, daily, or weekly fee (it’s cheaper the longer you rent it for). You can’t really get around the island without one. *They have a bar/restaurant *For those that are light sleepers, we hardly heard any noise/sounds from any adjacent rooms or even from outside, so you should be good! *They are right on the water and also have 2 pools!

Location: Rent a golf cart & go to the south end of the island to a small, unexcavated ruin. Bring bug spray but worth the time.
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The location was a little further from the town than we had thought but we still enjoyed it. It was beautiful and quiet and the staff helped us with everything we needed. They arranged our tours, etc. as well as checking out the different means of transportation back to the mainland as we were heading to Mexico.

Very reasonable hotel rates in Belize.Posted Mar 30, 2015
Great seven night stay. Great staff, very accommodating. Would highly recommend. Intend to return. Everything we needed was onsite or very near. Seagrass. was a problem everywhere along the eastern shore but we found a beautiful beach on the west side.

Nice Hotel Right on the BEACH!Posted Mar 29, 2015
Pros: The food / restaurant was very convenient if you didn't want to go exploring - a good variety of food choices. Nice Pool and Beach.
Cons: The soundproofing of the walls and floor need to be improved.
Location: The location was very GOOD - convenient to other restaurants, etc. Any tours that you might schedule all picked you up at the hotel's dock.
We stayed in the New portion of the Hotel (Four Story Section), which was O.K. - just a little noisy (The walls are NOT very soundproof). The location was very GOOD - convenient to other restaurants, etc. (Well within walking distance). The hotel staff was very helpful in scheduling tours, which ALL conveniently picked you up at the hotel's dock.

Nothing fancy but great placePosted Mar 28, 2015
Rooms were simple and clean. Everything worked. I would recommend asking for a refrigerator upon arrival. Staff was courteous. Grounds were well kept.

Disappointed by seaweedPosted Mar 25, 2015 on Hotels
Rooms are very sparse, a couple of chairs & shelves would help a lot. Also walls are paper thin when there are noisy drunk people next door late at night. Staff were all great except for 1 young guy at the restaurant, who had very little patience when placing orders & serving. Through no fault of the hotel, there is a MAJOR seaweed problem this year. The hotel worked endlessly to try to clean their beach, but couldn't keep away the seaweed stink from all up & down the coastline.

Good locationPosted Mar 21, 2015
We're pretty low maintenance travellers, so this hotel met our needs. The location was excellent for a 15 min walk on the beach into centre of town. The rooms had everything we needed & the patio had ocean/beach/Palm tree views. No long walk to the beach. The sea grass is everywhere this year, and staff works constantly to combat it. Staff was helpful. If you're looking to be pampered & waited on, this hotel isn't for you. If you like trying different restaurants in town, walking the beach & don't expect all the high end comforts of home (but all your needs are met), stay here.
