If you are the type of person that doesn't like to get stuck inside a resort all day, but like resort like service and feeling, this is the perfect place. If I go back to San Pedro, I wouldn't resitate in staying here again. The room was great, the view was great, location was great, and the service was exceptional.

A Hidden Gem on Ambergris Caye!Posted Jul 31, 2014
Amazing, charming, and unique are words to describe Caye Casa! My husband and I traveled to San Pedro for the first time to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary in July 2014. Upon arriving at Caye Casa, we were pleasantly greeted by Andrew & the sweet German Shepherd, Reef. We stayed in room #1 casista which has a fabulous view from the porch as you sit on the lime green Adirondack chairs and admire the palm trees and blue/green ocean. The staff (Andrew, Delsi & Julie) was very accommodating, friendly, and helpful with setting up excursions for us. We recommend visiting the mainland to explore the Mayan Ruin, Xunantunich, and cave tubing at Jaguar’s Paw with the tour group, ‘Searious.’ Snorkeling in Hol Chan was amazing, as well! The Palapa Bar is a must when venturing on Ambergris Caye! At the Palapa Bar, you can float on inner tubes while sipping drinks on the ocean with an incredible view…aaahhh! In the town of San Pedro, great restaurants include ‘Waraguma’ with a delicious lobster burrito and ‘Blue Water Grille’ for some fresh seafood. The locals in San Pedro are very nice and the golf carts on the sandy streets make Ambergris Caye and Caye Casa HIDDEN GEMS! We highly recommend Caye Casa as the exquisite place to stay in San Pedro where you can experience all that this beautiful island has to offer!

A perfect place to enjoy the tranquility of San Pedro. Julie's staff was incredibly helpful, the room was well kept and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and all the amenities were just as described. Can't forget to mention my own private patio to enjoy the breathtaking views.

A wonderful stay, thank youPosted Jun 30, 2014
Pros: It is clean, well run, and beautifully decorated. It is well located for the many bars, restaurants and beach.
Location: There is some fantastic snorkelling from this area. The Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Mexico Rocks are two of the best. If you get the chance, do both!
We had the pleasure of staying at Caye Casa for 12 nights recently. We thought it was wonderful. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful. They organised some snorkelling trips for us which we thoroughly enjoyed. The hotel is very well located, just a pleasant walk away from the many restaurants and bars. And it is right on the beach. There is a night watchman on duty, and Reef the guard dog. However we felt totally safe and secure at all times, whether we were walking the streets or in the hotel . We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Really hard to beatPosted Jun 30, 2014
You may find someplace glitzier but you won't find anyplace better. I stayed there twice recently. I was very comfy there. The owner Julie, and all of the staff are wonderful. You will be happy there.

Great location, very helpful and friendly staffPosted Jun 25, 2014
Cons: We wish we'd booked a room with a 'private' balcony but this wasn't completely clear in the description so we went for a slightly cheaper room.
Location: You can sunbathe on the pier, walk around the town, hire bikes or kayaks or jet skis or go on amazing snorkel / dive trips - something for everyone!
We stayed for 9 nights and we loved it, its great value for money but we did wish we'd paid the extra for a room with a private balcony so I'd recommend this to other couples. The location is very good as it is walking distance to many restaurants but is in a quiet area (not that San Pedro is noisy). There is a lovely bakery around the corner and plenty of convenience stores for supplies. The staff were very lovely and incredibly helpful. We booked a very last minute trip one morning but Andrew was very helpful and phoned around to see what tours we could still get on to and arranged an excellent snorkelling trip for us. We loved Reef, the hotel's dog.

Great service and locationPosted Jun 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
Highly recommend Caye Casa. They have great service (pay for your cab from water taxi!) and it's a quaint hotel with only about 8 rooms. We (my husband and I) personally loved the location. There are bars and restaurants right by the hotel but more "action" is only a 10 minute walk down a beautiful beach for those who want it. They also have a "guard dog" named Reef who is super smart and somehow knows who is supposed to be there and who isn't (ie. locals who come on the property get barked off by Reef). Only negative is that the AC in the room doesn't get that cold, but it's better than nothing, there's a fan, and at night, the ocean breeze is often good enough and you may not need the AC unless you sleep in.

Nice view of ocean and locationPosted Jun 19, 2014
Nice staff. Not worth the money. Good location. No place to set out front for ocean view for the smaller room.

Nice place, in the midst of San Pedro, AmbergrisPosted Jun 9, 2014
Pros: Proximity to town and dive operators. The staff was so very friendly and helpful in every way.
Cons: Our mattress was ready to be replaced and the windows needed blinds that could keep out more light at night.
Location: Caye Casa is so close to everything you won't have any trouble staying occupied. You can rent bikes for a ride or a golf cart for a drive through town
We were looking for a place on Ambergris that was close to San Pedro and close to the dive operators and we found it with Caye Casa. Close to everything in town and dive operators. Steps away from the beach and dock. We spent most of our time diving or exploring the town.
