Great place!!

Posted Jan 22, 2015
Pros: Everything!!!
Cons: The main pool was a bit to chilly and the main restaurant was overpriced.
Location: Gold carts to town available on sight. Diving on sight. Kayaks and paddleboards on sight.
Met with a cold cloth. Pampered until the end. Not for those watching pennies though. Pools were magnificent. Drinks great. Rooms awesome. Cleanliness in and out beyond perfect. Diving on sight was awesome.

Excellent, professional, happy, and helpful staff. Sparkling clean facilities and rooms. Complementary in room coffee and bottled water, kayaks, paddleboards, hammocks, and hobie cat sail boat were a nice touch.

Absolutely perfect in Belize.

Posted Jan 21, 2015
Pros: Everything...honest there was not one thing I did not like.
Cons: Not sure if this place can improve... it truly is a 5 star hotel!
Location: Hotel included kayaking and sail boarding which were amazing on the second largest reef in the world. In town, typical market for souvenirs.
From the moment we got off the boat the hotel staff met us with cool lavender soaked towels, rum punch and nothing but smiles. Every inch of the hotel was perfect. The room amazing clean especially for a clean freak like me. I did not even need to use my Clorox wipes that I bring everywhere. The rooms were amazing, the food was incredible (never had 1 bad meal), the staff extremely friendly and accommodating. The manager (Rick) personally came to welcome us at breakfast the next morning. I was so sad to see the trip end but we have the most amazing memories and cannot gush enough about the experience.

Nice quiet hotel

Posted Jan 18, 2015
Pros: Very clean
Cons: They are spot on
Location: Nothing close by. Relax, the staff will get you to any of the Belize sites you want to see. It may take a little longer
This is like a oasis on a dirty little island the place is spotless and the staff goes the extra mile to make sure your stay is perfect. We stayed two nights then moved around to other areas in the country, should of stayed and used the tours to see the sites.

Home away from home

We spent 5 days at Coco Beach Resort and loved every minute of it. The staff was excellent, always very friendly and willing to help with any questions we had. It was very nice not to have to worry about excursions, airplane transportation, and other things! It was fabulous to just be on vacation! We loved the pools, the cafe, the rooms! I loved walking into my room when it was clean, it smelled so good! Julianne was so great to work with and was so helpful. Larry the pool guy had a smile on his face all the time. And so did all the other staff members. We would definitely come back to this hotel in a heart beat!

Great hotel and facilities in a lovely setting

Posted Jan 10, 2015
Pros: Good food. Great pool. Reasonable prices. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Location: A short water taxi ride to San Pedro.
We had a lovely relaxing time at the hotel. There was plenty for our 8 year old daughter to do and town is just a 10 minute water taxi ride away (also a fun experience). You might be tempted to hire a golf cart for your stay, but personally I would not bother as they are very expensive and the water taxi service from the end of the hotel's pier is cheap and quite frequent.

Luxury resort on Ambergris Caye

Posted Dec 22, 2014
Pros: Staff, pools. Restaurant's food was better than others we visited nearby.
Cons: Internet service is spotty and unstable, and dial-up slow when it does work. Not up to the standards of the rest of the hotel
Location: Snorkeling & scuba diving are it. Not much beach action (although resort has kayaks and paddleboards). All else requires flight back to mainland.
Took Tropic Ferry boat (private water taxi) to resort, and was greeted as we disembarked on the dock. Staff is remarkably friendly and attentive, from the greeters and front desk to the servers to the housekeepers. Grounds are beautiful, with lots of waterfalls. Two huge pools, so never felt crowded. Largely hung out at the pools, which are lovely. Bar area is also great, with heated-water "swim up" seats. We chose Belize because it has activities beyond snorkeling, but the cave tubing, etc. is all on the mainland, so you have to take (and pay for) a puddle-hopper flight back to do anything else. So, a bit of a hassle and makes for a long day if you want to do a few activities to make the trip worthwhile. If you go, and want to do the other activities, spend a day or two on the mainland before heading for Ambergris Caye. Recommend renting bikes to bike along the beach (and into town, if you want). Beaches are pretty deserted at all resorts, so it's really about off-short and the pools. Definitely take a snorkeling trip, which includes a shark/stingray stop.
