50th Birthday CelebrationPosted Dec 18, 2013
Pros: The pool is amazing, the rooms and villas are beautiful, the staff superb, every single one of them from the hospitality staff to the pool boys!
Cons: Absolutely NOTHING!!!
Location: We loved the Palapa Bar & Grill, Capricorn Restaurant and the Lazy Croc BBQ Restaurant, all within walking or biking distance!
We are very blessed and have had the opportunity to travel to lots of beautiful locations. The staff at CoCo Beach Resort, islanders, EVERYONE was some of the nicest I have EVER experienced! And most importantly, their friendliness was genuine and sincere. They went above and way beyond to make my birthday one I will never forget.

Surrounded by expensive resortsPosted Dec 17, 2013
Resort is very over priced and so are the rest of the resorts around the same area. To far from town which is too bad cause that's were the best food, bars and people are. Staff was nice but you could tell they were just searching for a tip and when you did tip them they wouldn't leave you alone to relax. All in all I'd rate the trip 4 out of 10

Enjoyed our stayPosted Dec 11, 2013
Pros: Staff, location, overall condition.
Cons: Wifi access was challenging at times (though generally worked for the lobby). Food/bar pricing should be dropped slightly to increase traffic.
Location: Scuba, snorkeling, and boat-taxi ride access into town were enjoyable and effortless. We stumbled upon many excellent dining options nearby.
The hotel room was very nice and provided good beach access, great kayak/snorkeling, etc.. The pool was beautiful and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The hotel was within a short walk of several nice restaurants as well. The hotel restaurant and bar themselves were both very good but expensive for the area (maybe 2x comparable choices nearby). So we decided (along with several other couples) to eat the majority of our meals at other nice restaurants along the beach. The food choices nearby were great for a week's stay but it would have been nice to spend a little more time eating at the resort itself. I don't generally mind paying a premium for on-site service, but this was more than typical which left the bar areas empty much of the time. Given the ideal weather and location, they really should have stayed filled.

Pros: The service was 5 star.
Cons: The pool is situated so tht much of the day the pool is shaded.
Location: Remote but san pedro is accessible.
Great experience from beginning till end. Beautiful grounds and pools that were inviting and well kept. Able to arrange outings there for any number of trips. We chose the snorkeling at hol chan and were blown away with the diversity of wildlife seen.turtles, sharks, morays, rays and numerous other fish. You must take a cart into san pedro. The trip into san pedro is more adventurous than the visit. FUN.

Best hotel and staff ever!Posted Nov 20, 2013
Pros: The looks, location, cleanliness, friendliness, pool, diving, rooms and staff.
Cons: More options in the onsite grocery store.
Location: Locations are close to the best restaurants (walking distance or water taxi). Diving, snorkeling, waterslide at the pool, watersports equipment.
We found the Island very safe and relaxing. The Hotel, staff and food was amazing as was the diving. I would highly recommend this hotel or any of the Sandy Point resorts to anyone looking to have a great vacation.

HoneymoonPosted Nov 19, 2013
Pros: The staff was more then accommodating. They were very nice and personal
Cons: Food Prices are too high $18 for a breakfast buffet that has omelets, cereal, and toast is pricey.
Location: We were giving a list of activities and excursions as well as local events to do.
My wife and I stayed at Coco Beach for our honeymoon. The staff was more then accommodating. They were very nice and personal. By the second night they knew us by name and made us feel more then welcome more like family then a guest. I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody that is looking for a place to take their honeymoon or just to get away for a vacation.

Very nice hotelPosted Oct 28, 2013
Pros: VERY nice, great staff, great for families
Cons: The only down side is that the restaurant is a little too expensive. We also had to ask for Wifi in our room.
Location: We enjoyed the local food in town - fry jacks, pupusas, & garnachas. We ate a meal for less than $5 and it was delicious!
The hotel was beautiful & the room was very nice. The pools are AWESOME & they have a very large jacuzzi. You should know that you are NOT close to town. We rented a golf cart to take back & forth so that we wouldn't have to pay for a water taxi & so we could come and go on our time, not on the water taxi schedule. Just keep in mind that it takes 20 to 30 minutes to get to town. If you are at the hotel, the restaurant there is pretty expensive. Belizian Shores is right close by & they have cheaper food & they also do room service. If you're in San Pedro on a Thursday, don't miss going to the Chicken Drop! Lots of fun.

Fantastic views, great staff, ok restaurantPosted Oct 26, 2013
Pros: The beach theme with the sand and pool with varied depth.
Cons: The prices at Cocobana (restaurant).
Location: Captain Morgan's restaurant is good with cultural themes, live music and great staff. Akbol Yoga retreat has good food and ocean view while eating
This was our first time in Belize and it was amazing. The room was beautiful and true to the island motif. Tile floors, glass block shower, and island themed artwork. We were on the first floor and our porch was no more than 10 feet from the pool. Hibiscus flowers scattered on the bed and in strategically placed places throughout the room upon arrival. The staff was friendly and helpful and eventually we were greeting each other by name as the days progressed. Larry (grounds keeping) was very helpful and told us about many of the local attractions. The walls of the room are thick which is good and not so good. It's good because, despite the pool side activities, we barely heard a peep in the room. Not so good because that also meant we could not get access the the wi-fi. We had to sit in the pool side chairs directly in front of the check in office to be able to get a signal; and even then it was shaky at best. Coconana was the resort restaurant. The atmosphere was beautiful and the service was outstanding. Fabio is an amazing waiter. However, it was over priced: Good $40 dollar dinner meals came to a total of $80-$90. We didn't realize they were charging for our re-fills. We didn't realize until one bill included the $15 extra for water. Captain Morgan's quickly became our new friend (with free refills of water). It's a small beach walk next door.

AwesomePosted Oct 25, 2013
Pros: Super clean; example they rack the beach every day. Staff was great.
Cons: Food was OK, travel to the downtown to excellent food.
Location: #1 Jungle Zip Line #2 ATM Cave Tour #3 Lamanai Tour
The only thing I can say is; I wish there was a "Very Excellent" option.
