Quiet hotel beachsidePosted Jul 21, 2013
Pros: We liked that it was away from the city but not to far. We always had plenty of hot water. The rooms were clean and spacious. The pool was huge.
Cons: The only things we didn't like was that there were not phones in the room so you had to use and outside pay phone after the office closed.
Location: Location is about 2.5 miles from San Pedro. Excursions are arranged to pick you up on the hotel property and San Pedro has many shops and resturants.
The hotel is far enough away from town that it is quiet and peaceful yet close enough to get there by golf cart in just a few minutes. The rooms were spacious and right on the beach. The pool is huge. The staff was very helpful and the surroundings were great. There is also some cool wildlife at the hotel such as iguanas and various birds.

Nice placePosted May 13, 2013
Cons: Perhaps they could require a cash deposit to assure they retain remote controls for A.C. and TV. I was required to write credit card # on hard copy.
It is too bad that one can't swim from the dock because the water is too shallow..but their pool is excellent. Staff should tell one that there is a charge to use their bikes BEFORE not after the fact. Staff seemed annoyed when asked if they could brew coffee for the lobby (at 8:30am).

Quiet, peaceful getawayPosted May 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
We had hoped for a quiet getaway in a beautiful location and Royal Carribbean was all that and more. The room was comfortable and spacious, clean and well maintained. The staff was helpful but alos unobtrusive. We were totally delighted with the accommodations and the setting. The beach was only steps away, the walks were well maintained, the grounds were beautiful and well kept. The pool was delightful. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The trip to the shopping area of the town was really fun in the golf cart. We enjoyed driving around and seeing the sights, enjoying the food and the shopping. The staff was very helpful and friendly. He helped find tours and boats that were just what we had anticipated. I will recommend this hotel to friends and family and I will stay here again.

Great place to avoid crowds..Posted Apr 28, 2013
Pros: the pool, view of ocean ,away from hustle and bustle of downtown,
Cons: no wi fi reachable in rooms, food location, restaurants distance from hotel. transportation not always available unless arranged or use of golf cart
Location: Location of hotel is a little distant from downtown. stores and restaurants although within walking distance is still a bit inconvenient.
Firstly, We really enjoyed our stay at Royal Caribbean Resort. The staff was helpful providing us with information of where to dine, transportation to town etc. The rooms or what I would describe as comfy island cottages had its own unique flair. The bed was comfy and every thing worked i.e showers, faucets, fridge etc. The grounds were well kept as was the beach area. Yes it is true that You cant go swimming much less wading at the beach, but the lounge chairs where you can relax under the palms make up for that. If you need to get wet which as the warm weather and humidity demands that, the pool is the real gem of the hotel. It is one of the largest I ever seen at a hotel or resort. Overall my experience with RCR is positive and I would definitely stay here again.

Great spot!Posted Mar 4, 2013 on Hotels.com
This place was clean and fantastic. We stayed in Casita #1 right next to the beach and it was awesome except for 1 thing....the mattress had no box spring and was therefore very uncomfortable. We woke up with sore backs every morning. This place was so great that I would have stayed there anyway and would again.....

This is a great small resort without any extras. It's very quiet. If you want to eat something without having to walk into town (~30min walk), then you can go to Victoria House that is next door (fancy and expensive). This was our second vacation staying at this hotel. We wanted something quiet and affordable. The pool is great and the beach is nice for laying out. Unfortunately, our dive gear was stolen the second to last night we were there. As everyone does, we had it outside to dry. Someone walked off with it. It was really disappointing and quite unexpected because the hotel has security. So, keep your gear inside and enjoy your stay!

Ambergris Caye-BelizePosted Mar 20, 2012
Pros: The property was large, as was the pool with nice view of the Caribbean.
Cons: Could not swim off the beach as there was an abundance of seaweek (might be seasonal) and quite shallow.
Location: Location is out of town but cabs are only $5USD each way and quick to respond, so no problem.
The hotel is about 2 miles out of town-so need golf cart or rent bicycles ($9/day), to shop and go back and forth. Nicely painted cabins with ample room for 2, with small fridge and microwave. Super pool (big) and for the snorkelling you can get picked up at the dock. Overall a good experience and value for the money.

Newly remodeled. QuietPosted Feb 28, 2012 on Hotels.com
Its a bit of a walk from San Pedro, but the payoff is a nice quiet comfortable cabin. Only negative is there's not much privacy with the bathroom. It has a louvered sliding door with a wall that doesn't go to the ceiling, so no barrier to difuse light or buffer sound.

basic nice place to stayPosted Jan 23, 2012 on Hotels.com
We really liked the staff and the quaint cottage atmosphere. Downside is location which requires rental of golf cart to get around. This is not a destination resort...a place to stay that is very nice.
