Sky Flower is really the Seranade

Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: The hotel is centrally located to everything. It is on " the sidewalk" wet feet away from "the road" and close to the sea.
Cons: T.V. was small and old, but we were told they were in the process of updating.
Location: Okay - What ever you want is within a short walking distance. If you wanted to leave the area, the bus to other towns, water, sky and land taxies are
The hotel is centrally located to everything. We had a wonderful stay.

No sign, terrible, dirty and not close to beach

Posted Jun 26, 2014
I booked this hotel because it was the only one listed on Expedia in Placencia. BIG MISTAKE. There are so many other wonderful beachfront hotels that you can walk in and book. Not to mention they changed the name and didn't put a new sign up. The owner refused to refund me my money and told me to contact expedia. I strongly recommend the expedia staff to reach out to more hotels in town, and stop supporting this sub standard business. Even when they change names and owners they will still be a bad hotel. Wall unit ac, mold, mildew, and overall offensive rooms that are set back from the water with no view. Do not stay here.

Needs Updated

Posted May 6, 2014
Although the studio (1 bedroom) was ok it needs some improvements such as mattress, bedding, larger mirror in bathroom, larger tv and storage (dresser or table/top) for clothes and other personal items. Management family very helpful and friendly. Not a bad place, just very dated. Location is good for beach, dining, shops, etc. Love Placencia Village especially the local people so the hotel room didn' t matter much.

Pictures can be misleading.

Centrally located. Pleasent, accomodating staff but rooms are quite small and noisey on Friday and Saturday nights.

No Room When Arrived

Posted Apr 5, 2014 on Hotels.com
When I arrived the owner had no notice of my reservation. It appeared when he checked while I was there. He had no room but found one for me at a nearby hotel.

The walls were paper thin and we heard everything in the next room. The TV did not work well. We had booked a king bed but ended up with a queen size bed. Overall it was a terrible night sleep. The view is off a run down house which is next to it. There was no manager on duty and had to deal with his son who was around 14.

Excellent location in Placencia

Posted Mar 10, 2014
Pros: Upper veranda was nice to sit out on, especially on hot nights. Plastic chairs and table for everyone to use.
Cons: Modernizing bathrooms, better locks on doors, easy to jimmy locks to get in to rooms.
Location: Right on central boardwalk. Seventy feet off main street with stores, restaurants. Easy walk to great swimming beach with snorkeling spots
Within walking distance to everything. Older hotel, small rooms, but clean and great staff.
