“Bakadeer must be local lingo for "Back There"”

This is in the middle of Belize City, in a slum. On a little back street. I couldn't believe that it was really a hotel or that Expedia would even consider sending me there. They had me park my rental car right out front. I was always surprised when it was still there in the morning. AC was a hardly sufficient, noisy, window unit. I actually had booked three nights but forfeited the third, it was so bad. No phone in room. Walked down to front desk to get AC turned on (he threw a breaker in a panel behind him). Hotel dog barks at 3am. Handyman hammering six feet from my room at 8am.
