"Fantastic"
I stayed here with my 11 year old daughter. We felt very safe. The staff was very kind and helpful! I lost my phone in Belize City at the Ferry. The staff called around for me and helped me locate my cell phone! I can't believe I got it back. The rooms are nice and immaculate. It has 2 pools and a nice beach front with a dock. I will stay again and I would reccomend it to everyone!

"Great hotel just a walk away from town square"
My husband and I took a trip to San Ignacio looking for land to purchase. We spent several days at Midas Resort while we were there and it was a wonderful place. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The grounds are beautifully kept and the rooms/cabins were extremely comfortable. The air conditioner in cabin number 17 worked quickly and we actually had to turn it down as we got chilled later in the night. The water was wonderful there and we drank straight from the supply and it tasted fine. We had lunch and dinner in the dining area and I must say...it was delicious. We actually waited while we were in town so we could eat at the resort. The pool is very clean and refreshing...especially the waterfall. We visited in the bar area several times while we were there and Thomas, the bartender, was extremely friendly and kept our drinks full the entire time while providing wonderfully entertaining conversation. We also had the pleasure of meeting, Mike, one of the owners and had a wonderful conversation about what the town had to offer to those looking to relocate. The resort is only a few blocks away from the town square which is easily within walking distance, but if you prefer to take a cab somewhere then the wonderful ladies in the front office can easily accommodate any needs you may have. My husband and I will be returning in December for an extended stay with our children and we will stay at Midas resort again. I highly recommend them.

"Like staying in a botanical garden"
San Ignacio is a busy, buzzing village, with lots of [wonderful] people and noise. The Windy Hill Resort is about a mile outside of town and it is peaceful, beautiful and affordable. You have your own private cabin, an infinity pool, an indoor/outdoor resturant and tiki bar and they will book any tour for you at the front desk. Or if you want to go it alone they will give you any and all info you need for safe and easy travels. The staff is very friendly and courteous and made us feel so welcome and at home. The only thing I could possibly complain about is the shower, witch the water is heated in the shower head, and I could only seem to get hot or cold water out of it, never just warm. But this was a minor inconvenience for such a wonderful place. I would highly recommend staying at the Windy Hill Resort, and tell Ricky, the bar tender, we said hello :-)

"Best place to stay!"
After seeing in person the other places that were recommended in San Ignacio/Santa Elaina, I would not have stayed anywhere else! From the minute we checked in the staff was bending over backwards to make our stay enjoyable. The jungle setting was wonderful and the way the lodges were set up made the most of breezes and vistas. But the food...THE FOOD!! Beyond wonderful with a chef preparing every meal with locally grown produce/fruit. If I ever get the opportunity to return I would definitely go back to Mountain Maya Lodge!

"Awesome lodge"
Nine family and friends recently stayed at Sleeping Giant Lodge in casitas and lodge rooms this past week for two days. This lodge is fabulous. The rooms, the pool, the landscaping are all incredible. Manager, Eugene, goes out of his way to make sure everyone is happy and pleasantly accommodated. Meals are a bit pricey but this lodge is definitely worth a visit. Near Caves Branch for cave tubing and zip lining over the jungle. Also inland Blue Hole which is definitely worth a visit, along with St. Herman's cave. A little bit of Paradise !

"Beautiful accommodations and fantastic staff."
Personally I think that X'Tan Ha has the best beach on Ambergris Caye and possibly the friendliest staff. I celebrated my birthday at X'Tan Ha. The owners and management were very welcoming and the staff went out of their way to make my birthday memorable and enjoyable. I honestly can't recommend X'Tan Ha enough. When you book there be sure to tell Oliver hello and give buddy a scratch behind the ears.
