very easy to ski in , ski out. easy parking and renting. nice ski slopes. room was nice, not many dining options and no service at the Lodge, need to go to the bar to order food. overall very nice place, very convenient shuttle to go to Bellaire.

Hi Monica,I am glad you enjoyed your stay. I assume you are referring to our modified service at The River Bistro? Last year we were not able to provide in restaurant service due to covid restrictions and we had to make our plans for the 2022/23 season prior to knowing if the same restrictions would be in place. As the covid response continues to lessen, we are adapting and changing, hopefully we will make our way back to sit down table service dining in the future. NO COFFEE + FP NO WORKIE
I had heard after booking that it was dated. The good news is that our room was lovely and fresh with a beautiful view. The bad news is that I’m a coffee fiend. When traveling, I take my own Keurig pods bc there’s never enough & sometimes you get all decaf. If not enough or not Keurig, there’s always coffee in the lobby - at every hotel I’ve ever stayed. No Keurig, Folgers instant & one had to go to another building to get coffee. Oh.hell.no Booked this room bc of fireplace. Arrived early to enjoy that. FP would not work. Waited 3 hours for maintenance man to arrive & turn on timer switch behind TV on wall. All units the same, but front desk was not aware. Won’t be back.☕️🔥

Outdoor hot tubs down the whole week. Front desk staff not knowledgeable. Took them an hour to bring up more coffee packs to the room. Roads and sidewalks never plowed except the one day that had 6 inches of snow. Same price to ski for 7 hours vs 12 hours. On Wednesday night ski (which is discounted) most of the blue trails and lifts were closed.

Hi Rebecca, I apologize for the delay in responding to your concerns. We had a managment change and getting the new people connected with the Expedia system took some time. I read your comments and it's true that we did have some trouble with our outdoor hot tubs at Cedar River and a parts issue delayed the repairs. Your stay was a mid week stay and the hours for skiing unti 9pm don't start until Wednesday. I realize ski season is winding down; but if you would like to give us another try for a future stay, I would be happy to personally handle your booking. Nice place to stay. Quite difficult to locate even using the GPS cause it was dark. In the future it is best to check in when the sun is still up and one can enjoy the beauty of the resort.

655 dollars for a 2 night stay. Hotel was full of drunks and crack heads. If i wanted to be around that i could have paid 59.99 and stayed somewhere else. Never again will i stay here

Very nice place! Kids had a good time! They have an on-site restaurant. The server is a one woman show and did an amazing job with our drinks and food. She was awesome! Shuttle driver was very informative and hilarious! Just all around great experience!

We stayed at the Schuss village which was beautiful, and our room was spacious and perfect for our family. They even provided a roll away bed. They gave another location on site that’s called the Lakeside, and that’s the one I wish we had reserved. The rooms had a view of the lake, and on-site restaurant with servers. The Schuss location had a restaurant but no servers. Everything was order and go. No free breakfast. But a beautiful property!

Cute hotel!
Nice resort. The rooms were very nice, clean and spacious. The bathrooms are so nice and roomy. Pool was okay, wasn’t “resort style.” Hot tubs need an update, one was under construction. Overall it was a nice hotel and we def stay here again!

We loved the scenery and atmosphere of the hotel but our room smelled like cigarette smoke and weed and it was a non smoking room. The carpet had stains everywhere . The front desk man was very cold and not welcoming. The restaurant was disgusting. We were seated away from the entire restaurant, basically forgotten about our steaks were not cooked to order and our server never even came back to check on us. I would stay again but would bring food and ask for a different room if it smelled like it did.

Not the best night sleep
A/C was shut off for season. After a string of warm days and what felt like a room that had been buttoned up during that time, it was easily 80 plus degrees in our room and it did not cool down until the following morning. Very uncomfortable sleeping. On top of that, people were partying all night, well past quiet hours. When I went to front desk to ask for some assistance with asking fellow guests to possibly keep down noise, they were annoyed that they had to call security but finally did. Quiet hours are the hotels policy, not mine. When security arrived, they were afraid to knock on door of individuals being allowed, so, I did. Security said that if I don’t not go back to my room they would call police on me which I responded ‘please do, maybe they will do something about asking individuals to keep noise down’. I wasn’t looking to ruin anyone’s fun, just be respectful to other guests, that’s all. I never raised my voice or threatened anyone. Hotel staff became frustrated with me however, more so than the actual individuals breaking their policy. Nevertheless, noise finally subsided and was able to get to sleep after midnight. I would not recommend based solely off of my experience with staff and the inability to properly heat/cool room. I was looking forward to stay and never, ever write reviews but I felt like a fair warning to others about this accommodation would be necessary. Find someone else to stay if customer service matters to you.
