Friendly & Clean hotel!Posted Oct 29, 2013
Location: Go to the French Quarter!
I really enjoyed this hotel. It's about a 25-35 minutes drive to New Orleans, which is what I wanted because I didn't want to stay right in the middle of it all. The room was very clean and the staff was friendly. I chose to not have room service during my stay because I didn't need someone to make up my bed for me and take out the trash. The housekeepers were really good to give you extra linens when you asked for them. The only thing I would have changed was the humidity, but thats Louisiana for you. It's going to be humid no matter where you go. I highly reccommend this hotel if you don't mind a bit longer of a drive to New Orleans.

Great hotel away from city noisesPosted Oct 8, 2013
Pros: The staff, the location and the breakfast.
Cons: The bathroom could have been a little cleaner. I can't stand to see other people's hair on the floor or in the tub.
Location: It is on the outskirts of town. It is a nice place if you plan to fish, visit Fort Jackson, eat, and shop.
The staff was awesome!! Staff was very friendly and helpful. They greeted us every time they saw us and asked if we were being well taken care of. I had some car troubles and Craig was helpful there to assist me with the problem. The breakfast was nice. Between the two days we were there my kids and I enjoyed scrambled eggs, omelets, hard boiled eggs, bacon, ham, biscuits, toast, bagels, fruits, yogurts, cereal, and oatmeal. In the lounge they have coffee and sweets all day.

1st Visit to New Orleans, LAPosted Jul 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
After a 10 hour drive from San Antonio, TX we arrived to the hotel. 1st time in the New Orleans, area. It took us 25 min to drive to New Orleans, questionable area. Check-in staff at the front desk greeted us in a friendly way, the room was excellent and the bed was comfortable. We stood for 2 nights, the staff at the breakfast area was very, very rude. The first day the person stocking and cleaning seemed to be bothered she had to restock the bot breakfast because we were the only family there. While cleaning the shut down waffle maker was constantly checking to see what my husband was doing at the juice station, I guess if he made a spill or something, that would mean extra work in cleaning. was obviously bothered and displayed it very well. The next day was the same or even worse. My son wanted a waffle and the mix had gone bad, I got the last of the mix and poured 1/2 a waffle mix amount to the machine and had no idea it had gone bad. I then asked the person at the front desk if she could call someone to refill the waffle mix and she told me it would take 2 minutes as there was no staff attending the breakfast area. Our total time at the breakfast area was around 30 mins and no one ever filled the mix. I personally would never stay here again, it is a shame that such a nice hotel does not train their staff in customer service, as far as the area, I guess there are a lot of working people that need to stay there for a night as there is a oil refinery plant very near by.

The hotel was okay for the price. It's way too far from town and there are no restaurants nearby. It's 10 miles from the Naval Air Base which is another 3 miles from town. The store across the street from the hotel closes early so if you don't get all you need before that time then you're screwed. The room was averagely cleaned. The service attendants were nice. There is a snack riim where you can purchase overly priced snacks from the front desk.

We requested two adjoining rooms because we were traveling with our four children. The hotel made sure we got our rooms. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. Plenty of pillows and towels. The complimentary breakfast was very good. Someone was constantly cleaning the dining area and replenishing the food. The staff was friendly. Would stay again and/or recommend to others.

Cons: The misleading directions and time from New Orleans.
This hotel says its close to downtown NO. Not true, it is not located in Belle Chasse but Jesuit Bend. We did not stay because we drove down Hwy 23 for approximately 1 hour and still did not reach/find the hotel. The directions are misleading.
