“No surprises”

It's not posh, for sure ... but we just needed a place to relax and sleep. And we were only staying one night. No surprises. We had all basic amenities including a small fridge. The price was right. Staff were courteous and freindly. We'll probably stay there again.

“Basic hotel”

The best part was the continental breakfast (but was disappointed that they used styrofoam bowls and cups and plastic utensils) and wireless internet available in lobby (it would have been nice to have that available in our room). This is an old hotel that needs to be maintained better. Doors don't close well and we did not feel like we could leave valuables in the room.

“A Real 2 Star”

I have trouble understanding how big chains put their names to places in such a state they should close them down and at least do the major renovations at the same time. The staff was nice and cordial, the room was nice, clean and confortable, however the breakfast was very basic,,,coffee, cereal and toast, the breakfast space was meager and the hotel is under renovations it looks like it had not been touched in 30 years...overall 2 stars would be accurate. Not a negative experience...just a confirmation.

“Beacon in the night”

It may not have been fancy, but it was clean and the staff were very friendly.

Air conditioner didn't work, no cups or creamer or sugar for morning coffee. Cheap hair shampoo/conditioner Just old

“Not Impressed”

This hotel is riddled with problems. There was no remote control for the TV. The toilet constantly ran until the flush handle was jiggled. The parking lot was full of garbage and a broken beer bottle. The wall was dirty from a drink thrown at it and not cleaned. The smell of old carpet was noticeable. Most important, the door would not open even after getting a second swipe card. The clerk had to jiggle the door handle and kick the door to open it. I contacted Howard Johnson on the internet and received a reply from a U.S. address that the mangager of the hotel in Trenton would contact me within 7 days. This never happened. This hotel is definitely not recommended.

This hotel shouldn't carry the Howard Johnson label. ( maybe thats why the outdoor sign wasn't operating)

“wouldn't go there again”

didn't get much for our money. we had a 19"tv, about a 25 watt lightbulb in the bathroom, no luggage racks for our suitcases and a hair dryer that was not keen on working! it was a very basic room, and not very clean either.

“Do not go here, expedia please delist this dump!”

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! Let's start with the racoons walking across the roof and go downhill from there... The front desk clerk was slow and nonchalant in is attention to service. He actually tried to charge me twice for a room i had paid in full through expedia.ca... He was rude and totally unwilling and uninterested in assisting us in getting our room. Upon arriving in the room, one more surprise, the beds were probably more than 10 years old, the room stunk, and when we asked for extra pillow, the same front desk clerk could not find more than one, another strike for this guy! In summary, this place is not fit to be listed on your website, i actually went to a fairfield inn in Belleville nearby for the following night, a Saturday, and only paid $20 more than what i paid for this dump, and got continental breakfast, 10 pillows in the room, yes 10! Free wifi, a fridge a microwave, a hair dryer in the bathroom, need i say more! DO NOT GO HERE!
