The hotel was ok - rooms were pretty standard. They were remodeling the first floor and check in area. There was a lot of noisy traffic making opening the windows for some fresh air not such a good idea.

Hotel staff very nice. TV's did not work so they gave us breakfast vouchers that turned out not to be applicable to what we ordered. But nice place to stay for WWU graduation.

We apologize for the TVs. This was a new lineup we just debuted and unfortunately did not work with some of our TVs. We have since corrected the issue. We appreciate your patience and thank you for staying with us.

Decent place

Posted Jun 8, 2014
Pros: Location was good for me, the bed was comfortable
Just a quick stay for the night, I wasn't there long. The hotel staff was nice and the bed was comfortable. Fairly quiet too. The only con I can think of is that it seems a little pricey compared to other places I've stayed that are a similar class hotel.

A great place to stay when there is an event

I registered for a Fred Pryor seminar, choosing to spend the night before. I had a wonderful experience and was well rested for my class the next day!

Tired hotel in Bellingham

Posted Apr 12, 2014
Hotel was dated (popcorn ceilings) the rooms all view the scrappy pool, so you always smell the high concentration of chlorine, check-in is. At 3 was there at 3:50 and room was not ready

Thank you for your review of the Best Western Plus Lakeway Inn. It's from these comments we can improve our hotel. We do apologize you were not satisfied with your stay. Our popcorn ceilings will be removed at the end of 2014 as part of a property improvement plan. In addition, we will review your check in and why it was delayed so much. This will be corrected. Thank you again for staying with us.

Did not get the rooms booked and paid for.

Posted Apr 3, 2014
Pros: Shuttle to and from airport. Hot tub pool and work out facilities were good.
Cons: Staff to pick up dishes in a reasonable time. Give the room paid for and not a down graded room. Upgrade room only not down grade.
Location: Not bad location but enough shopping and eating places near by.
First night on trip, the hotel did not give us a supreme 2 queen bed room. The return to hotel at the end of trip we were given a room with just a king size bed in it. Like that will work for 4 adults. Finally got the supreme 2 queen bed room as paid for. Which we then find out we just got a 2 queen bed room the first time and not the supreme. The dirty dishes laying in the hallways for hours and hours and hours, Like a maze with 2 luggage carts dodging dirty dishes laying all over.

We apologize you did not receive the room you reserved. We could understand how frustrating this must have been. We will review this incident right away at our next daily huddle and make the necessary corrections to avoid future incidents.

Room looks nice but bed seemed old and sagging

Posted Mar 3, 2014
Room very clean, looked updated. Bathroom looked updated except shower and bath tub need overhaul (grout stained and cracked). Coffee in lobby good but coffee in room awful. Bed too soft and sagging so much we each had to hold on to turn over. Heard dogs barking in hallway about 11pm. Not happy since it woke me up. Was given a pack and play for toddler to sleep in with no sheets. Had to ask for them about 10 pm and it was about 10:30 when i called back to ask for sheets again so I could get daughter to sleep. Staff friendly but didnt ask how our two-night's stay was when we checked out. (Probably a good thing!). Swimming pool was really too cool to enjoy. My daughter shivered about five minutes into swimming so she sadly had to get out. Restaurant great. Disappointed overall in our stay here. Definitely does not compare to other Best Western's I have stayed at. Bellingham lacks any good hotels that are mid-range/3 star and We were hoping Lakeway Inn would be an exception.

It was a restful stay.

Posted Feb 19, 2014
Pros: It was attractive and clean. All the service people were helpful and friendly.
Cons: I think a continental breakfast should be provided.
Location: It was close to Western Washington University where I had to attend a function.
It was nice to stay at this Best Western. The staff were friendly and helpful and the beds were comfortable and clean. For the price, though, I thought there would be a continental breakfast provided gratis. However, one could make coffee in the room which was okay.
