The Edgewater is always a fantastic stay. The hotel staff are very friendly and the rooms are super comfortable. The view from the hotel is amazing, you can see the Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains.

Great place to stay, we pay more for the water view and is worth it, the bed are very comfortable that my husband were surprised, staff are very friendly, restaurant and bar are very nice, stayed in the bar for dinner, awesome food, we were there Saturday and they have live music, love it. Close to shopping and attraction.

a great experience, with a few flaws

Posted Apr 16, 2015
A very elegant, yet rustic and comfortable hotel. Fantastic restaurant available. we got a free upgrade to a water view room that was beautiful - which was a blessing and a curse. we were on the sound with distant views of the Olympic mountains. however, there was an old dock 100 yards from the hotel that made a horrible sound - like dropping a dumpster 20ft onto a parking lot. It went on all day and night. not so bad if you kept the windows closed and wore headphones to bed like we did. there was no way to adjust the room temp, however, and we tend to sleep warm to begin with. but, with the dock noise it was impossible to open the windows to get a little fresh air at night. Also, there was a $12 +tax daily charge for things like wifi, using the gym, and other services they provided. It wasn't explained very well up front, so it comes across as a little bait and switch. I would've rather just paid $15 more per day for the room than to have that surprise sprung on us on checkout. Still, the place is beautiful, the room was inviting and comfortable, but the high point was the staff. they were all top notch - friendly, appreciative, and helpful. Of note was our waiter who brought our room service - he was fantastic. And the biggest surprise was the cleaning staff. every one of them was genuinely friendly and helpful. you couldn't leave in the morning without running into one of them in the hall and they were all wonderful. all in all a great hotel experience with a few hiccups.

Great location!

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: I love this hotel for the location. You can walk anywhere in the downtown Seattle area.
Cons: The rates for valet parking! 41.00 a day plus the 12.00 a day facility charge seems incredibly high.
Location: Close to Pike's Market, the waterfront is great for walking or jogging. You are within walking distance to so many areas.
I have stayed several times at the Edgewater. This time I got a "city view". It was extremely loud due to the train noise. You might want to stay on the water side if you want peace, quiet and an incredible view.

Nice place to stay in Seattle

Posted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: The Staff. Lots of smiles, warm welcome and always available. Location is great. Restaurant is very good
Cons: My room was not on the ocean side, but on the train side... however the train is not so noisy. I did not have a car but parking is a challenge
Location: Walking distance to the Pike Place (Public Market). Shuttle to the Space Needle. DO NOT MISS the Chihuly Garden and Glass and breakfast at Le Panier
The Edgewater is located in a very convenient location, walking distance to the Pike Place. The staff is amazing. It is an old Hotel, almost vintage, which is not bad at all.

Great Food and convenient location

Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: The showers!!!!
This is a very nice hotel. If you get a "partial" water view, see if you can opt for further away from the port of Seattle rooms, as we had the barge right outside of our window. All in all, it is a very nice hotel. The food was amazing.

Extremely noisy and expensive

Posted Apr 1, 2015
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful.
I stayed in the Edgewater for 2 weeks. At first I was put in a room at the 4th floor facing the street, which has the trains passing in front every 15 to 30 minutes for almost all day and night. Additionally, I could hear basically everything from the neighbour beside talking non-stop, to people talking on the corridors mixed with the noise of the train. I basically did not sleep for a whole week. I changed rooms on the first week, which faced the water instead; however, I had to pay additional $40 dollars to get this change done. I managed to get rid off the noise of the train but not the neighbour's noise. I could hear my neighbour upstairs walking all over the room. The Air Conditioner was extremely noisy on both of the rooms I stayed. The parking is insanely expensive. $41 dollars plus tax per night. I found out that the parking across the street was $21 dollars per night. I don't understand the reason for a so overly expensive parking at this hotel. Staff is very helpful and friendly.

Room with a waterfront view

Posted Apr 1, 2015
Pros: The staff were very nice.
Cons: Everything was great
Location: Pike Place was close by along with downtown shopping. We found new restaurants that we missed last time and they were all very good.
We all enjoyed the stay. The waterfront view was superb. From the housekeeping staff to the front desk everyone was very pleasant. Room service in the morning was on time and the food was delicious. The food at 67 restaurant was very good. The shuttle service drivers were very nice. Overall the visit was outstanding! We will be back.
