I have always had good luck with American inn but not this time. The place is so run down and dirty inside and out. The bathroom stool is ready to come off the wall. The ice maker looks like it has not ever been cleaned. The rain gutter is falling off and the retaining wall has been destroyed.

This particular AmericInn doesn’t meet the standard of other hotels with the same name. The property is in need of major updates. When arriving the first impression is “sketchy”. The pool is out of service permanently. There is an odor when you first walk in and the room smells musty. The staff was friendly and the beds were comfortable, perhaps the only positives from the stay.

In need of major cleaning and updates
The staff were friendly. The hotel is in dire need of deep cleaning and updating. Our room was full of dust, found some garbage, and a used washcloth was left in the shower. The lobby and hallways have a very pungent odor. Many ripped screens on windows and broken blinds. The pool wasn't open and when asked they said it was closed since 2020.

It did not have any breakfast and pool was broken. They said it has been broke for 2 years and they didnt know when it was going to be fixed. The whole place besides the room and a really bad smell to it.

Our room was DISGUSTING and looked like it had never been clean. The lady at the counter left my paper with my email, name, phone, vehicle and license plate, and credit card information out on the counter, and the pool was drained and there's no breakfast. You couldn't pay me to stay here.

The hotel smelled really bad. There was no breakfast and the pool was out of order. The water from shower smelled like lake water. All our stuff in the room smelled so bad from whatever was smelling up the whole place.

This motel is in need of a facelift. Everything is old. The calking on the bathtub was missing or loose. The entryway, halls and the room have not been deep cleaned in a long long time. Our room smelled musty even after opening a window to air it out.
Garbage and dust between furniture that has not seen a vacuum in over six or more months.

We were already prepared for poorly maintained exterior, no pool, no breakfast via other reviews. An older facility is OK, but dirty rooms are not. It’s clear the rooms are not thoroughly cleaned after each start and a deep cleaning of walls, upholstery, etc. Is long overdue. Even for a one night stay, we wouldn’t stay again.
