We went in the off season, after summer and before ski season, so things were quiet and a lot of the summertime activities were closed for the season. We went for a romantic weekend so this worked for us. The resort was undergoing a lot of construction including the outdoor swimming pool. At first they put us in a unit overlooking the big mud pit that will be the pool next summer. When we complained they were very nice and moved us to an upgraded suite that looked out over the golf course and toward the mountains. We enjoyed walking the grounds (even at night) and having a shopping area to walk to.

Our family was in Bend to do some early Christmas shopping and The Riverhouse was the perfect place to stay for us. It had snowed two days before and our room overlooked the deschutes river with everything covered in snow and ice it was truly breath-taking! The room was very comfortable and we had been upgraded to a suite from a deluxe room at no charge. The included breakfast buffet is top notch, way better that any other hotel we have been to. This was our second time staying at The Riverhouse, this will be our go to place to stay in Bend from now on!

The property was amazing with the outdoor pools, hot tubs, fire pits, ice rink, frisbee golf, put-put golf, and all the hiking trails. Our condo was comfortable for three of us during the day. Our one bed had a memory foam mattress that took us a couple of nights to get used to. The other bed was fold out couch and the mattress was thin and very uncomfortable. Ended up sleeping on couch, which was only slightly better. Housekeeping was alright, but noticed a pile of dust under dresser when packing to leave.
