“Econo Lodge is comfy clean and convenient”
Great location in Bend. Bed was quite comfy
“Nice room, clean bath, bedding not clean”
My room was very comfortable, as was the mattress. Even though I usually have some trouble sleeping anywhere except at home, I slept very well at this hotel. The room, and bath were clean enough to suit me. However, I was not thrilled to find a large yellow stain on the underside of the bedspread. I got rid of that thing and threw it on the floor. The sheet was also pressed down into the quilted grooves in the mattress top, making me think perhaps the sheets had been slept on. So I used my own blankets and pillow. I have found many hotels do not wash the bedspreads, so this is not a surprise, and I would still recommend this Econo Lodge as a good place to stay in Bend. I was able to get a good nights rest all three nights I stayed there, and that is the most important thing. The staff was also very nice.
“Will stay there again”
The room was nice, clean and comfortable, front desk people very helpful, would recommend as a good place to stay at for the price.
“Good motel”
One of the better motels we stayed in. Plus they had a computer for guests at the reception area which not all motels did.
“It worked for one night.”
We arrived very late to check in and waited a good five minutes for the manager to wake up and unlock the office. She came out in her pajamas, which felt a little uncomfortable. I would prefer to have met a prepared night staff member when we arrived but the manager was friendly and checked us into our room efficiently. The room was very simple but clean and the beds were comfortable. I was unhappy that the curtains did not black out the outside lights. The neighboring room had a couple who seemed to live at the hotel, their laundry was pouring out of their front door and they were sort of ackward to pass in the hall with their room door wide open. There was only outdoor, uncovered stairs to access our second story room and it was snowing outside. I wouldn't recomend this hotel over any other one in Bend.
“Oct night in Bend”
Mattress was good. Headboard fell off the wall right after we checked in, my husband just put his hand on it as he put his suitcase on the bed. He called the desk to tell the clerk and she wasn't at all concerned about it. When we checked out I handed her the keys (we rented two rooms) she didn't say a word. Didn't ask how our stay was.
“Cheap but Clean”
We were looking for something cheap enough, and you get what you pay for. It was clean, quiet, but off the main Business highway so neighborhood is all business. Close to Safeway and Starbuck's!! The continental breakfast is a joke, go to Safeway instead. For a night or two it's okay. Bend is a small town so getting around is easy.
“Don't stay if you are planning on sleeping”
The front desk staff was very nice and the room was clean. It had a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker in the room; no decaf coffee though. I didn't go into the lobby for the breakfast, so no advice there. The location is pretty much centralized; lots of shopping options going in both directions down the street it is located on; not a lot within walking distance though. We stayed prior to an early morning appointment at the hospital; took us about 15 minutes to get to the hospital. The hotel shares a parking lot with a restaurant and lounge. The lounge customers were very loud all through the evening and we were woken up to pounding on the door next to us at 1:30 am. The lounge customers were using extremely foul language through out the evening. We stayed on a Monday night, so I can't imagine what a weekend night would be like. I will not stay here again.
“Cheap, but old”
Very old hotel.
“Not worth the price”
A cheap hotel, basically, not worth the money we paid. We called down to the front desk to ask if they had an extra pillow, at about midnight, and we were told "no" by a lazy-sounding male voice. 5 minutes or so later, a pillow was brought to the room by a woman, but that did not make up for the amazement at the attitude. Well, the attitude of bad service played over into the next day, with a free continental breakfast that consisted of packaged pastries that 7-11 wouldn't even sell, bathroom towels the size of postage stamps, and finally, coming home that evening to find our room had not been cleaned -- no new postage stamps, to say the least.
