20 feet from a bar. Seriously.

Posted Dec 30, 2013
I was in town visiting family. I came back to my hotel and the noise from the bar that was seriously 20 feet from our window was insane and unexceptable. I would have asked to change rooms but my hearing impaired father was asleep. It was the most miserable I have ever been in a hotel. My 11 year old son and I did not sleep at all. With the holidays in full swing it was truly hard to recover from. I will NEVER stay here again. This is not a family hotel. Run if you have children. If you want to drink and stumble 20 feet to your bed this hotel is for you.

Great hotel- Great price

Posted Aug 12, 2013
This hotel was awesome, there were a lot of events in Bend the weekend of our stay and all of the hotels were booked or crazy overpriced. We got there and was greeted by a really nice lady and a clean room, needs a remodel but really clean. Also visit the tasty treat up the street, great stay.

Prineville overnight stay

Posted Aug 1, 2013
Pros: location
Cons: making sure that all guests could enjoy a warm shower in the morning
Location: close to family
This stay was just for he night so we could attend a family event. The staff was very nice and professional and greeted us when we arrived. The room was clean and orderly and met our needs for the night. The shower was luke warm instead of hot in the morning but otherwise the stay was suffiecient for our needs.

A place to shower and sleep overnight.

Posted Jul 20, 2013
Pros: The staff was helpful and friendly.
Cons: The motel could use an updating and a remodel.
Location: Ochoco Wayside State Park west of town offers an excellent scenic view of Prineville and great photo opportunities.
On the last leg of my road trip, I discovered that I need a layover spot for one more night. I chose this motel, because it was the cheapest one I could find at the last minute. All I needed was a place to shower and sleep until morning and this place fit the bill. Located in the center of town, it is also next door to the local bar/hangout, probably the only one in town. The music/noise wasn't a problem, I didn't even notice. Parking is sufficient, but if you get there late, expect to have to park out back behind the motel. The WiFi and TV worked well enough and more importantly, the A/C was strong and powerful. However, the A/C is pointed right at the bed, so it can get chilly in the middle of the night if you have it running full blast. This place was built in the 50's or 60's and looks it. A lot of the fixtures date back to then and the rooms haven't been reworked since. There's a definite shortage of power sockets. I found the clock unplugged from the extension cord where it looks like the maid had run over it with the vacuum. Breakfast was muffins, bagels, juice, milk coffee, etc... good enough to get you back on the road in the morning. Overall, this motel was clean and comfortable enough for an overnight stay, but I would chose someplace else if I were planning to spend any significant amount of time at the motel itself.

A surprisingly nice hotel

Posted May 27, 2013
Pros: Clean, quite, close to Bend
Cons: Not much
Location: Close to Bend, so didn't have to pay extra by staying here.
I stayed for a night and was not expecting a great hotel. But I was surprised by the cleanliness and the hotel support staff. The staff made sure my visit was pleasant and made extra efforts to make me comfortable. I request a smoke free room and the manager switched it immediately, I asked for India tea (not a coffee drinker at all) and she provided tea for us. I would stay here again !

mediocre place

Posted Jul 22, 2012
Pros: location
Cons: microwave and general feeling of not being quite clean.
Location: on main street
I got a smoking room although the booking indicated that the place was non-smoking. The microwave didn't work, fridge was fine. TV had either poor reception or many channels were very grainy. Showerhead was mediocre, just a bit more than a dribble. The bed was firm and good.
