Strong wet dog smell in the roomPosted Jul 2, 2015
The staff was very nice but my room had a very strong odor that smelled like a wet dog been in there for days. It was so bad that when I went out and about in Redmond, my family said they could smell it on my clothes. My mother had the room next to me and her room had the same order but it also smelled as if someone tried to cover it up with heavy chemical sprays.

Decent for the pricePosted Jun 29, 2015
Location: Good location. Close to shopping, etc. Hotel is far enough off of the highway that it was pretty quiet.
Pretty much what I expected from a Motel 6. Overall room was average. Location was good. Bed was reasonably comfortable. One issue I had was that when I made the reservation it automatically defaulted to a reservation for 1 room with 2 people. When I checked in I told them I was the only one that was staying so they changed it on their computer to 1 person in the room. Because of the change it changed the rate to the standard rate (not the Expedia rate) which was about $11 higher. I realized this later and the hotel made an adjustment. So just a word of caution. Make sure that once you make a reservation that there are no changes made or it will cancel your Expedia rate - if you do make changes make sure that the motel does not charge you a higher rate..

bath towels & wash clothsPosted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: closed to downtown Redmond
Cons: Bath towels & wash cloths. They were very rough, almost to the point of scratching the skin.
Location: Location was very good & closed to shopping.
It was very quite, setting back from the hiway. Parking was very good & the hotel was very friendly< very helpful.

Won't stay againPosted Jun 17, 2015
Pros: The staff was very friendly!
Cons: The smoking rooms to be confined to one floor, particularly the top floor. New carpet. Hot water & decaf coffee available in addition to regular.
I thought I had reserved a non smoking room only to arrive and find out the room next door and across the hall to be smoking rooms. In the middle of the night I was awakened to the strong odor of marijuana being smoked which was very unpleasant. The carpets were very worn, loose, and had a film of whatever they had been cleaned with. I could have spent 14.00 more dollars at a different chain and stayed in Bend with a pool/ hot tub/ clean carpet, breakfast, and a true non smoking room.

Best Motel 6 I've ever been inPosted Jun 6, 2015
Pros: Liked the fridge and microwave and free coffee in the morning
Cons: Didn't have a hairdryer in the room.
Location: Centrally located on the highway, close to Juniper Golf Course, restaurants and shopping
This motel had lots of extra's that I didn't expect. It had a fridge and mircowave and free coffee in the morning. It is located on the highway and close to anything that you would need.

Basic but New and Clean...Posted May 26, 2015
Hotel is set back from highway 97 and my room was quiet unlike the Best Western nearby. It is a basic hotel without frills like breakfast or shampoo but the room looked on the new side, was very clean and the air conditioning was cool and quiet. The mattress is firm. Was a good deal especially using my $25 Expedia rewards coupon on a holiday weekend.

Nice Basic Hotel Near Smith RockPosted May 25, 2015
Pros: Affordable, friendly staff, clean room with space, hot tub
Cons: The one thing I really missed was having tissues in the room. Low budget toilet paper isn't the best for your nose.
Location: We came to the area to hike Smith Rock. A definite "must see" if you haven't been there!
We were greeted upon arrival by very friendly staff at the front desk. The room was basic and simple but it did have a microwave and a mini fridge which were a priority for us. There was no coffee maker in the room, but they did have some basic coffee downstairs in the lobby. The room was larger than we expected; we didn't feel cramped with 4 people in the room. The hot tub was enjoyable, although the room does feel a little cramped with very many people in it. All things considered I would definitely stay here again!

Excellent hotel. Will stay againPosted May 25, 2015
Pros: Location, Cleanliness, Staff, Facilities.
Location: Newberry National Colcanic Monument. Painted Hills
Very nice and clean facility. Friendly staff. Great location(right on US-97). Appliances were in very nice condition. We had a big LCD TV and cable connection in room. Bathrooms were clean and odorless. Overall, had a very comfortable stay. Will stay again if I'm in this area.

Clean, quiet hotel with very friendly staff!Posted May 12, 2015
Pros: Again the clean appearance and smell, along with its ease to find and proximity to everything.
Location: We are outdoors people. Smith Rock is a must see! Delicious food, beautiful scenery, outstanding wildlife!
Perfect place for those who want an inexpensive place to shower, sleep, & unwind after exploring all that Redmond and the surrounding area has to offer. Very clean smell hits your nose when you enter, which makes a mom be able to relax much easier. The absolute only disappointment we had was the shampoo and hair dryer, or the lack there of. Two things that I neglected to pack because every hotel I have ever stayed in has those items in the room. They did sell tiny bottles of shampoo in the vending machines for $2, and I didn't inquire if they possibly had a loner hair dryer, but we were only there for one night, so I managed without. I only write this for those who may want to throw in theirs from home before they stay. Overall, a great buy!
