Sunriver Resort - Destination Hotels & Resorts has five restaurants, some with outdoor seating. Room service during limited hours is available.
Recreation
Sunriver Resort is home to three 18-hole championship courses; advance reservations are strongly recommended. The Meadows Course, designed by John Fought, is a modern tribute to the great American courses of 1920s and 1930s. Seven holes border the river. Crosswater, designed by Bob Cup, is a heathland-style course on 600 scenic acres of woodlands and preserved wetlands. Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed the award-winning Woodlands Course, where an abundance of water and outcroppings of lava rock place a premium on shot accuracy.
The resort also features three large outdoor pools, a stable, and a marina. Thirty-seven miles of paved trails for walking and bicycling wind through the resort (bike rentals available). Sage Springs Club & Spa includes an indoor lap pool, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, a fitness center, personal training, and classes (use of indoor pool and fitness center complimentary for resort guests).
The recreational activities listed below are available on site or nearby; fees may apply.

“Gorgeous sunset view from back deck and romantic fireplace inside.”
We were on our way back from Washington to California from family visits and decided to spend our anniversary at SunRiver Lodge. It was beautiful and not overly expensive, given the setting. I would love to spend more time there, since we did not get to enjoy all of the features. For some reason, possibly an error in my booking, we ended up with a room that had wheelchair access and other similar features. I would guess that would be great for disabled guests, but we would have preferred standard accommodations. Despite that,we enjoyed a beautiful sunset from the patio off the room and a romantic fireplace and dinner at a nearby restaurant. Really relaxing and incredibly beautiful place to stay.
“Great weekend getaway”
Nice room with a view. Large comfy bed. Especially enjoyed the community and the local bike trails. We had happy hour at the Owl's Nest and breakfast at the main restaurant. We felt well taken care of.
“Dated, bedrooms need remodeling”
The resort public rooms are nice, well decorated and the views from every window is fantastic. The bedrooms are terribly desapointing, dated and in need of remodeling. Cabin style furniture can be confortable but, instead, the furniture was just old, the bed having a very unconfortable mattress and cheap bedding. I would not recomend the resort to anyone and, instead, will next time stay in Bend, a city near by with better hotel options. Also, only one restaurant was open (all the other restaurants on the resort are seasonal and, in late may, were still not open). The food was tasteless, but the restaurant staff was helpful and somewhat efficient.
“Sunriver Resort, The best Blend of Nature and Comfort”
The Sunriver Resort mixes the comforts of a luxury hotel while staying in the beautiful surroundings of mountains, streams, forests and crisp clean air. The resort is very mindful of the environment. It strives to be green while it provides service and the upmost care for its guests. I would return to this resort in a heartbeat.
“To far from town”
Overall the hotel was fine. We planed to stay in Sunriver and do some shopping in Bend. It is too far though. If you are going to spend the day in Bend you might as well save some room money and gas and stay in Bend.
“I want to live there!”
This is a beautiful resort. We stayed at the River Lodges, and the room and view was fantastic. The staff are friendly and efficient. If I moved to central Oregon, this is where I would want to live! I will stay at this resort again anytime I am back in the area.
“Amazing Getaway!!!!!!!!!!!”
Everything was perfect! This hotel is top-notch and offers everything. Very romantic.
“Time for an Overhaul”
Sunriver holds a special place in our hearts, having enjoyed many summer vacations in various homes and townhomes in the community. This was the first time we stayed there through the lodge, just Mom and Dad taking a vacation without the kids. We were very disappointed with the room. It was a Lodge Villa - a much older, run-down option. The room stank of mold and old stuffiness, even after we aired it out. And with mosquitoes on the rise, we couldn't leave the door (our only vent) open, and had to rely on air conditioning, which also was old and stinky. The room was small by today's standards. Otherwise, the stay was fine. Sunriver offers no end of fun things to do. And the food in the Great Hall was better than decent.
“Nice hotel in the Bend area”
One of the nicest hotel in the Bend neighborhood. The setting is rather cabin like and the scenery is breathtaking.
“Won't be Returning”
The room was ok, but old, small, and overpriced. We stayed two nights but did not receive maid service which meant no coffee on the second morning. We golfed and the condition of the golf course was good but we were treated by the starter like a couple of idiots. There are newer, nicer resorts in the area for the same or less price. We were disappointed to say the least.
