“Great location, less than average interiors, average staff”

The location is great and the river views are wonderful. The hotel is dated and the rooms are as well. While they are clean and they really need an update. The restaurant is good but overpriced for the overall quality.

“Riverhouse - Just OK”

It was billed as one of the nicer hotels in Bend... had a higher star rating than I feel it deserved. The service was great, the breakfast was good, but the quality and comfort of the room did not meet my expectations. The location and the price were right, so I would recommend it for that, but not necessarily for a nice place to stay.

“Great location, right on the river.”

Stayed here during a business trip and I am convinced I made a good decision. The breakfast buffet (included) was very significant, the lounge was comfortable, the dinners were great. If I had to find a criticism, it would only be that the (large) room could have benefited from a sofa and coffee table, because there was room for it.

“Nice place”

I arrived early and the very nice lady at the registration desk gave me a room on the lower level. I could walk out the patio door and be beside the Deschutes River - very nice and serene. The room was quite clean and comfortable - the wireless internet supplied free of charge was a bit slow and the signal was weak, but it worked OK. I was very pleased until I tried the restaurant for dinner. The food was wonderful and was presented nicely, but once I was served, the service was completely nonexistant. I finally found somebody to get a check from after 90 minutes and there was not even an appology. Then when I got back to my room I discovered that the bar has a live band. It played loudly until 10pm with lots of accompanying hoops, hollers, and laughter. I probably would come again, but would ask to be far from the party and am not sure I would again patronize the restaurant.(although the complimentary breakfast buffet was very good and didn't require any service.)

“Next to the River”

Overall, the hotel was pleseant and comfortable. We had a room facing the river with two queen beds. One of the beds was a murphy bed and not quite what we expected. The restaurant was delicious, but quite expensive for the service and the food. $45 for a steak in Bend? I don't think it was worth the price. The lobby and restaurant were nice. But you drive up the rooms, motel style.

“Great view!”

We had a very nice room with a little balcony overlooking the pool. Super comfortable bed. Breakfast buffet was outstanding! A wonderful stay and a good value!
