Pros: The Ambiance. The old Maharajas luxury has been kept up with no signs of fading away.
Location: The location is not the best but seems normal for Bangalore. There is not much to do if you are sightseeing.
It has been faithfully maintained in its old glory and is a pleasure to stay in. The staff was very well trained and seemed genuinely friendly. The garden, tho tiny ws immaculate. Only problem I noted was, I was billed for 2 guests in the original invoice and then 4500 Rs were added for 2nd guest, I would like you to explain that. Also I was billed by Expedia 100Rs, 100Rs and 1428 Rs on the charge card with no explanations. I would likethese bills explained. Other than that, the stay was very enjoyable.

An Oasis in BangalorePosted Jan 26, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, great facilities, good food.
Cons: The room we had was excellent, just had a slight smell as if the previous occupant may have smoked in it. Nothing major at all, and the only tiny flaw
Location: Location was good for our meetings, but there is not a lot surrounding the hotel in terms of local shops or restaurants, you would need to use a cab.
We chose this hotel because of its location for business, but it turned out to be perfect for relaxing as well. We arrived on a delayed flight about 1am, but a hotel driver was waiting patiently at the airport and it took about 1hr15mins to arrive at the hotel. The check in staff were extremely friendly, and took time to show us through our room explaining all the services. After a good sleep we enjoyed the superb buffet breakfast, there is a vast array of Eastern and European styles available to suit any taste. The pool was exactly what was needed after the long flights, it's large, well kept and a great place to relax. The restaurants within the hotel are also excellent, and we found all of the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. One morning we had some coffee poured at breakfast, went to choose our food, and once we returned a waiter came and took the original untouched cups away, explaining they would be too cold now and immediately delivered two new fresh hot cups! Genuine service, with a smile. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a top experience in Bangalore. Cheers, Ian.

Brilliant service, lovely hotel, excellent localePosted Dec 4, 2013
Pros: Almost everything! Rare gem of a hotel!
Cons: Small things like water damage on the walls could have been treated and conceled from view etc
Location: Good location, easy to reach most historical places in Bangalore. Use rickshaws and metered cabs, they just as good as cars booked by the hotel.
Staff very friendly and helpful, good and efficient service, our daughter had a great time interacting with friendly staff, gave me few minutes to relax and talk with my husband. They have an excellent, child-friendly brunch on Sundays. We had a great time in this hotel and will definitely come back again.
