A good location, almost in the middle of nowherePosted Nov 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
Good location for a tour of New England that takes in Vermont. The inn's location means you're rather captive unless you drive to the next town. Dinner is offered, but you must take the 3 course option in full (its sold as 5 course, but thats a bit misleading).Service was slow when the inn was busy, but staff were trying their best. There are grounds you can walk in and some other routes signed from the inn. The room was fine, with balcony with a view of the grounds and mountains. Public lounge area was spacious and had plenty of books.

The property was so beautiful. Loved hiking on the trails on the property.

Rundum empfehlenswertes Hotel der gehobenen KlassePosted Oct 22, 2013 on Hotels.com

Not as expectedPosted Oct 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
Not as expected. We were put in a building away from the main hotel. Had to drive up to the restaurant each morning, felt very isolated and not cared for. Won't be staying there again.

Perfect Vermont experience!Posted Oct 4, 2013
Breakfast was incredible, but also stay for their five course dinner. It was gourmet!

Pros: See above
Cons: Extra blankets, softer pillows, clock/tv/radio in room, improve WiFi reception, water/coffee/tea in room or be advised where it hotel it can be obtain
Location: Lovely area near Battenkill river (great trout fishing) Close to Manchester and great shopping, Orvis outlet and store. Fly Fishing Museum.
It was comfortable, but just barely. Amenitites that were extended in other B&B's and inns such as extra blankets, coffee/tea/water in room, toiletries, clock, radio or TV in room were not present. The WiFi was spotty or non existant during the stay. There was no one at the front desk to help us out. The person that greeted us upon our arrival certainly didn't appear to care or have a vested interest in us as guests. The wait staff for the morning breakfast were good as were the selections offered. It certainly is in a lovely location in a beautiful area. With just a little effort could be a lovely place to stay.

Perfect Vermont settingPosted Sep 3, 2013 on Hotels.com
We were delighted to find the inn, up on West Mountain. The grounds a gorgeous and everyone so friendly. also, the area of Arlington is special, historically, and staying at the Inn added to our sense of "Vermont". We would def go back.
