“a wonderful place”

We had a great time. The concierge was wonderful and so helpful in getting us dinner reservations and suggesting things during our stay. Everyone was warm and friendly. The hotel is beautiful and the pool, game room were a huge hit for my son who is 8. I loved the fireplaces and the warm touches that made you feel so comfortable wherever you were in the hotel. We loved it and would definitely visit again and suggest it to others.

“Lovely Experience!!”

We really enjoyed the Equinox Hotel - however, our first room was located at the Orvis which is not on the main property. When we booked this hotel, we were unaware that we could be placed anywhere but the main property. We were disappointed, but the hotel was gracious, and switched us to a beautiful room on the main property. Once we were in this room, we were extremely happy with everything - from the service, hospitality, to the pool and lounge chairs, to the open pit fire at night - it was a great experience. We will definitely return to the Equinox for another stay in the near future.

“Great Spa”

We visited The Manchester Rosort and Spa for a weekend the end of November 2006. The Resort is in wonderful condition for being over 200 years old. The service was excellent and the restaurant, although very pricey, was extremenly good.The room was attiquate,but very noisey from late party goers going to their romm.

“Maravellous”

Lovely hotel, great location. Fabulous spa (although got charged $25 a day "resort fee") would stay again. Went with 2 young children, would have liked to stayed without them! Food in the hotel was good, staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Room was a good size too. Olde world charm.

“Nice adult retreat.”

The buildings look grand and stately from the outside and accordingly the floors are creaky and the walls thin on the inside. It's a great place to relax if there aren't kids running around on the floor above or in the hallways at 6:00am. The decor is nice, if Sheraton standard. The staff are friendly and attententive though a little thin at the check-in desk. Aim to arrive a little later, room preparation runs late. The Chop House restaurant is excellent, made all the little cares disappear. Not a lot of shopping or dining options in walking distance.

“Perfect weekend retreat”

This is a beautiful resort and a wonderful weekend retreat from the NY metro area. The grounds are spectacular, the room and the bed very comfortable, the town has a lot of great restaurants and things to do and overall it is a fantastic weekend getaway.
