Pros: Service, food and its history
We did not find that the room has a safe untill we were packing to go home. We may have missed something, but I'm not sure we had any idea. The mattress was to soft for our liking, but I'm sure it was comfortable for others. While the hotel had a number of places to sit and read, our room had only one chair, So it was a little problematic. Didn't care for walking outside to get to the pool and Spa, but once there both were very nice!

Best in townPosted Nov 15, 2013 on Hotels.com
Manchester VT is a very cute little town and Equinox is definitely the best option in town by far. We ate at the restaurant once. Food was exquisite, great wines, good beer. The service at the restaurant was not quite up to the hotel standard but everything else was almost perfect.

Great placePosted Nov 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
Great quaint town. The hotel was inviting and the food was good. Our room was nice and clean with a comfortable bed. I left my iPad case out by the fire pit where it is beautiful but impossible to see other than the fire:)) the next day when I inquired at the desk about it, the housekeeping had turned it in.

A little too big, but very nicePosted Oct 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
For the price it didn't have the boutique feel we are accustomed to, as it so big. The neighbourhood is a little pretentious (marble sidewalks?) but the dining is very good. Felt a little too much like a country club for the wealthy for our liking.

Nice stayPosted Oct 6, 2013
Lots of history here. Room was very comfortable with beautiful decor. Extremely comfortable bed and bedding. Staff very accomodating. Nice taverns. Continental breakfast expensive. Loved the outdoor area with fire to sit around and have a drink. Beautiful mountain scenery and foliage. First class hotel.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Equinox and Vermont. Many activities in surrounding area including hiking, canoeing, and falconry. Great places to eat, too!
