“Not Too Bad”
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in Apr 2010. It's a very convenient location to the highway and to our ultimate destination. However, there are a few things about the room that will likely prevent me from going back. Just because I likely won't go back doesn't mean that I wouldn't recommend it, though.
-- Hard mattresses--the mattresses are rock-hard, so if that's what you're used to, you will love it! We, on the other hand, were not real crazy about them.
-- Tiny bathroom--basically just enough room for a shower and toilet
-- Noise--let's see--the trains like to blow their horns both day and night, and you can definitely hear it--I suppose you could learn to tune it out. Neighbors--we didn't have particularly loud neighbors, but you could hear any noise from adjacent rooms that was above a normal tone of voice. Also, we were on the 1st floor, and the floorboards above us creaked anytime someone walked around. Definitely could use some soundproofing in the room.
-- Staff was very friendly, no complaints with them.
The bottom line is that it is a Super 8 Motel, and you get what you pay for. I tried to save some money, and instead I lost a lot of sleep due to the mattresses and noise. If we come again, we'll likely try to stay somewhere that has an interior door entrance and is more sound proof.
