“Very Impressed”

We travel from San Bernardino, CA to El Paso, Tx about twice a year and occasionally stop for the night some where in Tucson. This year we decided to stay in Benson. I was nervous as I have never stayed in Benson before, but was extremely satisfied with this hotel. It was clean, the staff was friendly, and I have to say was the quietest hotel I have ever stayed in. They had a continental breakfast so it was great to eat and get back on the road. We were very pleased.

“Tight Ship...”

This is our second stay at this property and we are still here as we write this. We are pleased to report that our room is clean, well appointed and comfortable. The staff is courteous, they don't cut corners and everything works. What more can you ask for?

When we go to Benson, this is the motel we stay at.

I'll for sure stay there again next time I take friends or relatives to Kartchner Caverns.

We arrived later than I had expected to check in. The front desk was very helpful, got us situated and into the room in less than ten minutes. We received a voucher for a percentage off the restaurant right next door. The location was quiet, able to fall asleep and stay asleep without any disturbances. breakfast was offered both mornings that we were there. Front office people as well as other guests were very friendly. Will most likely be staying here next time I head out that way

“Nothing Fancy - Just What I Wanted”

Every year I take a "business retreat" where I get away from the day to day distractions of running my business, hole up where I can be comfortable but "out of touch" except in a total emergency. This means I need some motel that is convenient, cheap, but cozy. For the second year in a row I've chosen Super 8 in Benson, Arizona because it's close to my hometown and fills all these needs. I'll definitely be coming here again next year.

“Not Too Bad”

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in Apr 2010. It's a very convenient location to the highway and to our ultimate destination. However, there are a few things about the room that will likely prevent me from going back. Just because I likely won't go back doesn't mean that I wouldn't recommend it, though. -- Hard mattresses--the mattresses are rock-hard, so if that's what you're used to, you will love it! We, on the other hand, were not real crazy about them. -- Tiny bathroom--basically just enough room for a shower and toilet -- Noise--let's see--the trains like to blow their horns both day and night, and you can definitely hear it--I suppose you could learn to tune it out. Neighbors--we didn't have particularly loud neighbors, but you could hear any noise from adjacent rooms that was above a normal tone of voice. Also, we were on the 1st floor, and the floorboards above us creaked anytime someone walked around. Definitely could use some soundproofing in the room. -- Staff was very friendly, no complaints with them. The bottom line is that it is a Super 8 Motel, and you get what you pay for. I tried to save some money, and instead I lost a lot of sleep due to the mattresses and noise. If we come again, we'll likely try to stay somewhere that has an interior door entrance and is more sound proof.

“Motel 8, Benson AZ”

You cannot beat the rate and the room was comfortable. I talked to a local resident and he said more than 100 trains travel through Benson every day. Although the tracks are about 1/2 mile away the whistle of the trains coming through a night time are pretty clear and woke me up several times. The motel is right next to undeveloped desert for me that was nice. What was not nice were the multitude of goat head stickers in the grounds of the motel. Several were carried into our room on our shoes and luggage. So beware of the stickers. I travel this route several times a year and have previously stayed in Tucson and I think that I will contiue to stay in Tucson in the future.

“Benson - Super 8”

The customer service was outstanding, helpful and friendly. We checked into our room and noticed that the carpeting was dirty and had a hole in it. When we returned from dinner the rooms on both sides of us were occupied. The walls are paper thin. Around 10:30 pm one couple were having an argument and on one side and the other was having some issues with someone on the phone. We didn't complain to the front desk, but wish we had.

“Disappointed--won't return”

This hotel appears very run-down and dirty with issues of constant running toilets---which I attempted to fix by reattaching the chain myself---the staff claims it's because of the hardwater in the area though the chain clearly needed to be replaced. At check-in they claimed not to have received my special request for a ground floor room with close parking for my husband thus we ended up with a smoking room---not pleasant for us. The hotel location was great but everything else left a lot to be desired. We will definitely try a different hotel in the area next time!
