If this was a $60 a night hotel, I would have given it a much better ranking. For nearly $180/night, it’s very not worth it. The bed was obviously smaller than a queen, but slightly bigger than a full. It was also the second worst comfortable bed I’ve slept in outside of Army Basic Training. Our room smelled like urine, the common areas smelled like smoke, and they didn’t even provide hand soap in our room. I’d give this place a pass.

Spacious and comy
Not fancy, but a lovely place to stay for a a Michigan weekend! Both front desk employees we interacted with were kind and genuine. I was especially impressed by the 2nd employee we met. At check in, I forgot to confirm what time check out was, so I stopped by the front desk the last morning of our stay. When I asked, the employee responded with “it’s 11, but take your time! No rush.” And it was just such a lovely way to answer the question and change the tone of packing up. Plenty of space and cool AC during the hot summer. Enjoyable stay over all!

I've stayed at many Candlewoods - I always enjoy getting a full sized fridge/freezer and a working kitchen - its a great perk. Kitchen was lacking some supplies - only 1 fork in the drawer and some plastic forks to supplement. No drinking glasses, only 2 mugs. The main complaint was the BED - I've never had this issue before. The king bed was completely sagging in the middle, and we kept rolling into the center. AT checkout, the clerk didn't seem concerned with how uncomfortable it was. She made a note to tell someone, but that was it.

Coffee maker had not been cleaned. Found an open pack of cheese snacks behind a chair. Half a roll of toilet paper. Liquid bath soap dispenser was empty. One of the power outlets was not functioning. Need I go on?

I have mixed opinions... on the one hand, the fitness center was great and the availability of laundry was great!! The staff was friendly and helpful! It was great that we could bring our dog. But, the room was pretty dirty... crumbs on the floor, dirt in the foldaway bed, frig was sticky, there were fruit flies, and the garbage can was disgusting with old food and grime on the bottom. We would not stay there again.

Everything seemed very clean. The suite we stayed in was very nice. We ask for bedding for the pull out and we got more than expected with a comforter and two pillows. It may have had something to do with the hotel not being very busy the weekend we stayed, but we were still very pleased with everything. I recommend.

Excellent rooms.
Beautiful rooms. The rooms truly are suites. Some hotels say suites, but this really was a suite with a full service kitchen and separate bedroom. Felt like a little apartment. Very clean. Safe. They offered many extra amenities. It would have been nice to have a free breakfast option in the morning, but they did have snacks available for purchase. We'll definitely be back.

Convenient location. There wasn't an extra roll of toilet paper in the room but the staff was always attentive and friendly. Relatively quiet and clean. I would stay again.

Was not impressed with the rooms. Was told the room had been cleaned found many areas in the bathroom,tub, and sink. Trash was still full from the previous person that was in the room.

Little pricy for what you get, but good location
We were in town to see family. The room was spacious. However, the bed was hard, like sleeping on the floor hard. They also weren't serving any kind of breakfast. They had items you could pay for, but no free breakfast. Good location though.

Overall, the rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. The hallways going out of the facility had leaves, dirt and water bottle during the weekend stay. I will stay again.

Always amazing!!
When I came in the receptionist greeted me with a smile. I asked if I could have a room with a tub since I forgot to do so during my booking. He gladly walked to my room with me to see if it had a tub. It didn’t so he quickly found another room for me that did. He made sure I had all the extra towels etc. that I needed. He was sure to let me know if I needed anything to let it be known. Such a great place to stay, that is why I stay at this location a few times a year.

Room was spotlessly clean! Front desk personnel wrre polite and professional. Room was well equiped with blow dryer, iron and ironing board, shamppo, conditioner and soaps. Bed was extremely comfortable. Convienent location off the highway! Will definitely use the hotel again. Only complaint i have is that during peak season, room rates almost triple making it unaffordable.

There were stains on the comforter and lipstick on the sheets. The soap and toilet paper were empty. When asked Scot our stay at check out, we politely started it was fine but....... Didn’t even get an apology. Didn’t get a response at all other than thank you. I don’t think she was even listening.

We have stayed at 3 other hotels in this area and this was by far the best. If you don’t mind not having daily housekeeping then I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff was super friendly and the room was very nice.

The full-sized kitchen appliances were wonderful! Very comfortable bed & furniture. Excellent bathroom (although shower could use a deeper cleaning around base). Only one bath towel supplied!

We stay in a lot of hotels & this was better than I ever expected. Clean, quiet, had a stove, dishwasher. Fridge, freezer. Was close to several places to eat. Definitely stay here again. Front staff was VERY PLEASANT!!!

Decent - No Frills Hotel
Average off the highway hotel. Was fairly clean, but did seem a little rundown. Service was excellent and all of the staff we encountered were very nice. Large cafe options to buy snacks from as well.

Weekly Cleaning
Our stay was very good. There are 4-concerns: (1) We had to contact the Front Desk twice concerning a very, very noisy child next to us. (2) Having to bring our wash clothes and towels to the Front Desk to exchange for clean ones! (3) The available TV channels should be preselected. (4) The clocks on the microwave and radio should be set to the current time! Servicing our Room weekly is a deterrent!
