clean, friendly overnight stopPosted Oct 29, 2013
Pros: clean, friendly, great breakfast
Cons: There needs to be a bigger sign showing that the hotel is back from the road. We had a terrible time finding it.
Location: The casino is right across the street. There is a wonderful restaurant at the exit (can't remember the name) that has home-made food@
We stopped at this hotel before driving into Chicago. It was well lit, clean and the staff very friendly. It was close to the casino and a nice restaurant.

Reasonable rates just outside town.Posted Oct 20, 2013
Pros: The staff. A well stocked, free breakfast. The shared fireplace in the common room & breakfast room. The location, easy access from highway.
Cons: The TVs were old. Not too many channels available. They need an ice machine on the first floor.
Location: New Buffalo area. Lakefront, dunes, wineries, spectacular scenery. Very nice getaway place.
Very nice hotel. Half of the Hotel is under rennovations due to water damage. We were made very welcome by David. He greeted us warmly every time we saw him. He was helpful and honest with all questions regarding the Hotel. They will be converting to a La Quinta property soon which is expected to allow even more improvements. A very nice stay overall.

Nice hotel close to downtown New BuffaloPosted Oct 7, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff, great location.
Cons: The shower drain was a little backed up, but since we only stayed one night, we didn't inform the front desk.
Location: Downtown New Buffalo is minutes away, as well as the lake front. Cute little shops, wine tasting, shopping is about 20 minutes away on 94.
The hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. Check-in was smooth and easy and the room rates were very reasonable. Free breakfast in the morning is a nice compliment.

Needs better managementPosted Sep 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
We were passing through town and just needed a place for the night and didn't want to break the bank. This place has a lot of potential but needs new management. The rooms are large and it has a beautiful, well kept pool, and great location to town and the casino. However, the place is vacant compared to the other hotels around. They need to reduce their prices and rent those rooms. Also, pay attention to the little things...one couple didn't have soap, our room didn't have a phone. They couldn't keep the wi fi up and running. Every time I went to look for the 3rd shift person, she was outside smoking. She finally said to me, I called your room to give you a status on the wifi and when I told her that there was no phone in the room, she was shocked., Check those little things when you are cleaning the rooms. We paid $117 for the night. Rooms should have been discounted to around $80 to fill the place up.

Great Hotel StayPosted Sep 9, 2013
Pros: I loved the Pool/Spa and Continental Breakfast.
Location: Coloma, MI is 40 minutes north of New Buffalo and there are orchards for apple/peach picking, vineyards for wine tasting, and chocolate shops.
I really enjoyed my stay at Harbor Country. The hotel's location was easy to find and near local attractions. The King Whirlpool room was spacious and the bathtub was very relaxing. I also really liked the hotel's pool and spa area. The continental breakfast was delicious- waffles, cereal, yogurt, bagels, coffee, and juice. The staff was very attentive and when they noticed I was the 1st person to arrive to breakfast, they immediately brought out additional items. I would definitely stay here again! Great price and great amenities!
