“Friendly , professional staff, fantastic location”

Had a fabulous room overlooking the Piazza Republique. Bed linen was fresh daily.Staff courteous and polite.Buffet breakfast served on 1st floor was included in room rate and comprised hot and cold dishes. The San Marco has an ideal location - minutes walk from the funiculare and also the main town centre. Bus stop for the airport is across the street from the hotel. Will definitely be back

“Excellent Hotel”

Situation, cleanliness, comfort, friendliness all excellent; the only thing which was less than perfect was the coffee at breakfast.

“Nice Hotel with a good location”

The hotel is clean, comfortable and cpnvienient. It is about a 10 minute walk to the train station and a 5 minute walk to the tram to the upper city. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but have nice views. The breakfast was pretty good....although the eggs were from a mix. We felt the rate was a bit high and they charged extra for the parking. They did have two computers off the lobby with free internet. All in all, it was a nice hotel, but price a little on the high side. We absulutely loved Bergamo. Walking aournd the upper city was wonderful wiith beautiful views.

The hotel is large but quiet and handily placed.The breakfast was good value. Information about hotel's amenities and Bergamo's attractions etc would have been a welcome addition in room

“Excelsior San Marco/Bergamo”

stately older hotel with modern appointments located in the heart of the older section of town. walking distance to lots of fine restaurants,shops.small bedroom/bath ok if you are spending most of your time out and about exploring. Nice continental breakfast included as well as guest parking for vehicle.

“Good base for exploring Bergamo”

This is a business style hotel which is also perfectly situated for those wanting to explore Bergamo on a short break. It's around 400 meters from the funicular railway which takes you up to the old town and also roughly the same in the opposite direction to the centre of the new town. The railway station is a 10-15 minute stroll with a wheelie case. The rooms are comfortable and clean, if a little dark if you're in one of the inward facing ones. The reception areas are business like and also very clean. Prices are very reasonable for the standard of hotel.

“Really small room.”

This is a great hotel but my room was extremely small. I think my bathroom in my house was larger than this room. Since I was a single person I received a very small room. I would recommend anyone going to get a suite or double room as this one was big enough to put my luggage in and that's about it. No balcony either which was disappointing.

“nice restaurant”

The hotel is nothing fancy but nice. Clean room, moderate size. There is a beautiful restaurant with increadible view on the old town, book in advance!

“One night stop only!”

Hotel is ok as a one night stop off, but not for any longer as it is tired and our hotel room view was onto the roof sheeting / air conditioning shielding i.e. zero view and not pleasent. Hotel staff were helpful. To b honest just ok if you get good price for one night only.
