Adjacent to very attractive old wooden waterfront buildings. Very conveniently adjacent to bus stop for airport bus, and arriving after midnight was no problem. 20 minutes pleasant walk from train station (or bus must be an alternative). Excellent breakfast buffet available from 0630, convenient for early departure. Very clean, modern and comfortable rooms and friendly, efficient staff.

Travelling alone, I came down with a nasty flu during my second day at the hotel. Staff were helpful, attentive and supportive making the experience as tolerable as it could be given the circumstances. I am extremely grateful to them!

Enjoyable stay in Bergen at a very warm time of year. The hotel was perfect for a few days though one needed a degree to work out how to use the air conditioning system. Ended up opening the windows :-( Worth staying here as the location, rooms and catering were fine but ask at Reception for an instruction manual for the AC.

Good hotel in a good location. Breakfast, snacks and coffee 3-6pm and evening meal were included in our package. Food is nothing special and a bit monotonous but it is a great money saver in a city where it is really expensive to eat out. One of the few countries that makes London seem like a bargain - well, almost. Recommended.

Hotel is located at a good place. Staff was very nice, room was big, very clean. Breakfast was a surprise, a bag put on the door, it was ok though. The only things we found wrong was the bar downstairs outside is very noisey til 3 a.m. every morning

Just on the corner of the Bryggen, adjacent to the Hanseatic Museum, this hotel is easy walking distance to almost everything you want to see or experience in Bergen (including the best coffee in Norway at the outstanding Caffemisjionen!). The rooms are very comfortable and spacious, the staff relaxed and friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good and the dinners excellent.
The curtains in our room didn't close as tightly as we'd have liked but that's my very best attempt at finding something negative to say!
Would definitely stay again

With about 250,000 residents, Bergen is Norway's second-largest city. It is also home to one of Europe's largest ports and is a popular port-of-call with visitors on cruise ships who flock to Norway to see the country's famous fjords. In addition to a bustling city centre with interesting shops and architecture, Bergen is also home to the country's largest mall, Lagune Storsenter.
