“A good deal in Bergan”

Hotel is one block from Harbor and right in the tourist area of town, great location, for 3 adults the room was comfortable, no ac but fans were available, great breakfast available every morning!

Very pleased with the hotel, the staff spoke English, the breakfast was good every morning. The hotel has wireless internet access. We had a room on the top floor with a balcony that overlooked the street. I was very surprised how modern the bathroom was. Bring your umbrella if you go.

“Perfectly located”

In the heart of Bergen, this hotel is great for its price/class. 2 minutes walk to the guest harbour, the fish and souvenirs market, the shopping streets and famous Bryggen. (10 minutes walk to "The Garage" bar/concert venue, which was important to us). Furthermore, the staff was very friendly and helpful. And, as usual in Norway, the breakfast is a full buffet. Calm side-street. I only missed a nice view from the room window. We were very pleased with that hotel's cleanliness and comfort. Smoking/non-smoking rooms. Free wireless internet access.

“Pleasantly Surprised”

My husband, 2 year old and I stayed at this hotel the night before we flew out of Bergen. I thought it was going to be terrible, but I have to say, our room (a standard double) was very spacious and comfortable. Very modern decor. We had several large pieces of luggage & a stroller and still had plenty of room for the 3 of us. Our daughter sleeps with us so we didn't need an extra bed. Breakfast in the morning is not spectacular, but it's what I expect for a European/Continental Bfst. Everyone was very nice; I requested a Queen bed (2 pushed together) & quiet room when I made the reservation online - got exactly what we ordered. No complaints at all!

“Short break to Bergen”

A convenient location for a short break to Bergen. Breakfast very good with free tea and coffee available all day. There were many complementary items available, if you asked for them.

“On a Sunday night during off season”

Quiet. Small room. Exterior wasn't promising and inside outdated but slept well with good variety and good coffee at breaksfast. We enjoyed being able to walk to harbor. We needed clothes washing facilities that were not available as we traveled light.

“Beds in Bergen”

The Best Western hotel is in a pretty good location, being 7 minutes fomr the airport bus and 15-20 minutes fomr the station and 8 minutes to the Fenicular railway and 6 minutes to the Fishmarket area. It has free wi-fi in the lobby and coffee in the afternoon and a nice selection of cold buffet items for breakfast. Rooms are clean but very small. Facilities are good (flat screen TVs for example). Staff abilities and helpfulness varied a great deal throughout our 4 night stay at the hotel (November 2011) from extremely helpful and efficient to stern and stressed and unhelpful. It was a bit of a lottery as to how well you are serviced and looked after from our experience but this is still a decent hotel and a well known chain and is a good bet for a comfortable, clean bed close to the city's central locations.

“Hotel in Bergen”

Good location for sightseeing in Bergen. Good breakfast buffet. Single rooms are small and bathroom is very small. Based on price and location, I would stay here again. FlyBussen Bergen from airport drops you off right at hotel.

“Good location, within striking distance to centre”

This is a well located, reasonably priced hotel in an otherwise pricey city. I had a pleasant stay and the hotel put on a nice breakfast buffet. I would stay there again.

“Not what was expected!”

The hotel room was not what I expected when I booked this trip. The overall size was tiny, and there was no carpet on the floor. The room was also cold and dark with no available wifi signal. I had also been promised a coffee/tea maker and bottle of water, which was not available during this stay. I would not recommend this hotel to any future traveller.
