“The Most Courteous Staff”

Beautiful location overlooking Bryggen. Interesting decor - original brick walls, etc. Most courteous staff we have ever met in a large hotel. Airports were closed due to a strike - reception staff went out of their way to help us find phone numbers and book alternative ways to get home. They did this for everyone even driving one couple to the railway station in their a private vehicle so that a last minute train to Oslo could be caught.

“What a great scenely from the room !”

Hotel is placed in front of a bay and across the Bryggen area. Although My room was small, but confortable, and as it was on bay side, I could enjoy great scenely, including sunset. I also enjoyed the breakfast at the hotel. A lot of fishes were served and especially smoked samon was delicious! There were bread, vegetables, eggs and some frurts as well. Also the hotel was in walking distance, about 10 minutes, to sightseeing area, Norway was expensive for me but I think this hotel really worth the value.

Good room (a slittle small), good bed, excellent bathroom. And the location is fantastic too.

Good breakfast and fabulous location, especially if you get an ocean view. The deck off the lounge has a view that can't be beat.

This is a fantastic hotel - lovely, comfortable, clean bedrooms; excellent waterside location with fantastic waterfront views from the restaurant; friendly, helpful staff; and everything you could wish for (and more!) available as part of the breakfast buffet. Wonderful!! Would recommend it to anyone and would go back in an instant.

Overall we were happy with the hotel. Even though our room was not supposed to have a view, but we could see a sliver of the harbor and the Bryggen if we stretch our necks. There is a road construction near the hotel, so the taxi we took to and from the ferry terminal had to make a big detour.

“Note on Clarion Hotel Admiral”

Not exactly in the centre of Bergen but only 8 minutes walk from the main area where the Tourist Information and most retaurants are located. We visited in April (at Easter) and the hotels bar and restaurant had restricted opening hours i.e. they closed at 7 o'clock in the evening which was not too good but other local restaurants were open.
