“Great hotel”

The Scandic is great in all aspects except if you are in a front room, the cobble stones under traffic tyres are very noisy. The traffic is light though. The hotel is a pleasent walk to the markets, attractions and the docks to travel to the Fjords. The staff are great. Would be more than happy to stay there again.

“A pleasant experience”

We stayed in the Scandic Hotel for one night during a recent business trip, having previously booked it through Expedia. Upon arrival we were directed to the new section of the hotel where our reservation was quickly confirmed, and we received clear directions about the car parking arrangements next door. Our room was indeed very new, with up-to-date techo facilities - eg. automatic account recording of mini bar purchases. The front desk was most helpful in providing maps, a city guide, and information about convenient restaurant locations, plus directions on driving to the airport the following day. The breakfast, included in the tariff, was the usual Nordic hearty fare, available in a pleasant restaurant off the lobby. We would go back there.

Close to the harbor & main attractions in Bergen. Great breakfast. Well run.

“Reasonable but not outstanding”

Good service, reasonable location and nice lobby - but several problems with the room. Curtains didn't draw properly, small leak under the bathroom sink (fixed immediately) and five empty Scotch bottles stashed behind the spare pillows ! Bot overall, not too bad.

“Not impressed”

Not a bad hotel but not so centrally located and right now the hotel and the area around it are under construction which is inconvenient. The breakfast was great.

“Great breakfast, shabby room”

This hotel was efficient and offered the largest breakfast spread of our trip. We had a very spacious room, but the rooms needed redecorating. The location is acceptable but a little off from the main pedestrian street and the wharf area. Bergen is very compact, however, so once we got oriented, nothing seemed far away.
