“Great Hotel”

Nice hotel which serves a great breakfast, the staff were very friendly and the room was excellent. The heated floor in the bathrooms is a nice touch. All in all a first rate, well priced hotel.

“Excellent.......”

A fantastic location in Bergen - great views from the hotel if you get a front facing room. Good breakfast with a wide choice to suit all. Twin rooms were comfortable and our room had a kettle and fridge.

“Great hotel for the price”

After 7 hours ride on the train from Oslo, Bergen welcomed me with a heavy rain. The tourist information was not very helpful on directing me to the hotel so the entire expirience could have been a disaster. However, the exremely helpful and nice staff of the hotel made my day better. They saw that I'm wet and therfore check in took less than 30 seconds. The room is small and clean. No shampoo or hair conditioner are provided. Great location, close to the fish market and to the shopping center. About 20-25 minutes walk from the train station.

“Incredibly great hotel”

This hotel far exceeded my expectations! I just picked it blindly online and sure did a good job! The breakfast buffet beat out any in the U.S. Everything imaginable to eat and all good....staff was very helpful and kind to a travelr on her own especially. The view from my room(be sure to ask for a whart view)was jaw dropping. Boats, ships, lights, sounds....Bergen is an amazing city. Even in the rain, which it often rains...was wonderful. Room was comfy, very clean and just right.

“Great price, great location”

The hotel is right next to the Brygge, the floibanen funicular, and about a 5-10 minute walk along the harbor to the fish market and the main square. I wouldn't have paid the extra money to be a few blocks closer to the main square. Bergen is completely walkable.

Very well located. Front rooms with beatiful views. Small but comfortable rooms. Very good value for the price you pay.

“Great location!”

We were in Norway and Iceland for two weeks and this hotel was the only one that had a bathtub, all the others had showers. Great location too. Just minutes from the old historical "wharf area" of Bergen and near a great museum and many restaurants.

“Perfectly placed”

We had read a review that wasn't positive, but we can't figure out why. The people at the hotel were most gracious, even temporarily storing our luggage after checkout time. The room was comfortable and clean, although the hallways were a bit strange. One can hardly get closer to the older part of Bergen; we could walk everywhere which added to the enjoyment of the stay.

“Clean, quiet and comfortable”

I only stayed one night, but my room was clean, comfortable and reasonable. (I love that you can rent a single room in Norway!!) It was close to the bus line and a short walk from the railroad station. High speed access cost an extra fee (about $10 as I recall) and local phone calls (for my international phone card) were about a dollar. I did not get a chance to sample the included breakfast, but there was coffee ready even at 5:30 AM.
