“Pleasant Stay and Location was Great”

The hotel was centrally located and there were 12 plus resturants within walking distance. There was plenty of night life and shopping.

“Excellent Location”

Could not fault this hotel, just a short walk from the train station, although we only stayed for the one night. Would use hotel again for a longer stay. For price and location you'd find this hard to beat.

“Modern & Great Location”

We have champagne tastes on a beer budget so its always a struggle to find hotels that we like for the right price. We were pleasantly suprised by Thon Hotel Bristol, it was very modern, clean & comfortable, included a great breakfast and was in a fantastic downtown location close to all the attractions, information centre, bars & restaurants. We would stay again if we were ever back in Bergen.

“Good central hotel”

This hotel is in a great central location, right in the middle of the shopping area. The reception staff were polite and helpful. The buffet breakfast was very good and held in the adjoining hotel restaurant. The room was very small, but adequate for a short stay. The only small complaint that I might raise is the fact that the corridors looked a bit scruffy and unvacuumed. Overall, a perfectly adequate hotel.

“Central location”

Better quality hotel than you would expect for 3stars. Don't be put off being above McDonalds- you wouldn't know it was there. Within walking distance of all city centre attractions. Also near to airport bus stop. If doing the "Norway in a Nutshell" tour (recommended) has early breakfast from 0630 and handy for rail station.

“Excellent location”

This hotel is extremely well placed for the main attractions in the centre of town but overlooks a busy pedestrian precinct with nightlife and so can be noisy (we were there in warm weather and needed the window open). The rooms are plain but clean and the staff were polite and attentive. The inclusive breakfast was excellent.

“Comfortable in excellent location”

Very centrally located and not far from flybussen stop from Bergen airport (30mins 80Kr). Staff freindly and helpful - all spoke English very well. Breafast excellent - lots of choice from buffet style. Reasonably priced for Norway. Very comfortable bed - nice to find a true double bed option in Norway. Nicely furnished room and excellent shower room - all very clean. Recommended.

“Great Location but be early for Sunday breakfast”

Great location, friendly staff, on Sunday took a late breakfast at 10.00am, (breakfast ends at 11.00am) but no white bread or bread rolls, no waffles, and no boiled eggs.

“Noisy surroundings + beware of being given small room”

When we arrived we were initially given an inappropriately small twin room - given the cost and the period of our stay (4 nights). The room only had two small compartments (large drawer size) to hold all our clothes - no wardrobe. There was insufficient space for a wheelie bag to pass the round the bed. When we complained we received a larger twin room. Our room was not serviced on the second day we were there - reception did not seeem to be too concerned it had been missed and took no action. The hotel is positioned on Torgalmenningen square. This is very noisy part of Bergen in the late evening early morning, with noise from revellers in the street until 2:00 a.m. and the noise of street cleaners from very early.
