Cosy, right near the Bryggen. Free internet machine in the lobby, which was a real help.

“Convenient and very nice”

Location is great for train and ferry travelers. Hotel is clean, modern, and secure(some scruffy characters hang around train station-more sad than threatening). Walking distance to Karl Johansgate pedestrian mall, Aker Brygge cafes and Palace. Rooms are small, double bed is Euro-style twin beds pushed together. Bathroom with heated floor-aahhh! Breakfast terrific. Service polite and classy. Price very good for Oslo. All in all, my new first choice--once comfort is assured, I'd rather spend my travel budget on dining and museums than fancier places to sleep.

“Nice hotel - Great location”

Within walking distance of the Fish Market and Fjord boat tours (7 minutes dragging suitcase on wheels). Really great location. Very good breakfast buffet. Friendly and helpful staff. We got stuck in the elevator for a while, and missed our morning boat (the maintenance man assured us that this had not happened in his 3 years there) - but you have to be flexible when you travel, and we caught a later boat and had another nice day in Bergen and lunch on the hotel. I wish we could go back tomorrow!

“Great Hotel”

The staff was very helpful; the room clean, light, quiet and comfortable; the breakfast buffet large and there was free internet in the lobby. The location could not be better. It is one short block up from the harbor and right in the middle of everything we wanted to do. We will return!

Check in was quick and receptionist was excellent. Excellent location for sight seeing.

“Excellent Location”

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in July 2006. We found it to be very convenient and in a central location - about 5 minutes walk from the fish market. The hotel was clean and staff were very helpful. Food was plentiful at breakfast - although Norwegians do seem to eat some strange things at this time of day! Also provided with complimentary umbrellas which is very useful in Bergen!

“Wish I could have stayed longer!”

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was in a very convenient location to downtown. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. It had a decent continental breakfast. My room was located on the top floor of the hotel so the ceilings were sloped like in an attic. A very tall person might feel a little squeezed if they had a room on the top floor. This made the room feel very small but it was comfortable and offered a gorgeous view.

The food in the morning was terrific, the hotel staff was knowledgeable and accomodating. The only issue was the walls of the room were bare. They are in the process of redoing the hotel.
